Baymont by Wyndham Harrisburg

The Hotel was great for the shear fact of size of rooms . The Grandchildren loved the pool. We chose based on location. Close to Hershey Park and Penn National and less than a hour drive to Lancaster. Breakfast was a plus. Will use again if in Harrisburg area again.

Great stay for a few days while our family visited Hershey Park! Our room was large and had plenty of space for our family of four. The free breakfast was great too! Something for everyone from eggs to cereal.

Even though the hotel is older, and things were a little dated, the staff and amenities were excellent! My family would definitely recommend this hotel.

I booked the hotel based on the users' rating of 8.6/10. I was very disappointed. I don’t know why this hotel got such a high rating. The reviewers never stayed in a good hotel or had horrible experiences in other hotels they had stayed at before. The good part is that the room is spacious, and the outdoor pool is big. Probably, these 2 were the only good thing. The bad part: the bathroom was tiny, and it felt like a half bathroom was converted into a full bathroom. Two people can’t stand inside the bathroom to brush their teeth. Breakfast was below average. The breakfast room is so tiny that you cannot come out without bumping into others. The staff is very rude, and they do not smile as if they are forced to do their job. The staff doesn’t know how to be polite with children. Not a family-friendly hotel. We were very late getting into our room the night before our checkout from Hershey Park and wanted to delay checkout by 15-30 minutes. When I talked to the front desk in the morning, I was firmly denied and had to check out at the scheduled time. So I had to leave the hotel without taking a bath. I felt like the experience was of a cheap motel rather than a good hotel where I stayed numerous times.

The pool at the hotel was really great: large, crystal clear, deep. It was the main attraction for my kids. The rest of the stay was really nice too. Not a ton of variety in breakfast but well stocked and they worked hard to turn over tables during busy times. Would definitely return for the people and the pool.

People outside getting high not suitable for a child

We used this hotel as an overnight to break up a long road trip. It was good for this purpose. Things are old and would benefit from updates, but it was clean, easy to get to, and it felt safe. I would choose something a little nicer/newer if we needed it for longer, but it was good for the price as a quick stopover. The kids and I really enjoyed the outdoor pool after a long day driving.

My family and I had a nice stay at Baymont by Wyndham. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was nice and cool. The pool was also well-maintained. The breakfast was fairly limited but fine for a quick bite for someone who’s not picky. The front staff were not initially friendly and did not even greet us when we walked in. They were also were reluctant to hold a bag for us at the front desk after check out, which we usually do not have a problem doing at other hotels. In general, it was a comfortable stay.

Horrible stay. Had to switch rooms 2 times. First room had ants on the console table. Went to front desk to complain and was told they never had ants. Was switched to another room, found a dirty shirt behind the chair, switched to a third room the same night and two days later my son noticed ants crawling on the night stand. Front desk service was rude. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy but would call me. He never called or came to speak with me. Front desk said they would have my room cleaned the next day. The next day I came back to my room to find a dirty pillowcase on one of the pillows on my bed. Went back to the front desk the woman pulled the pillowcase off. Gave me new cases and when I asked about a refund she told me she has been trying to accommodate me. I told her that she told me my room would be cleaned. Horrible service. Outdated furniture. I went to the store the first night to buy cleaning supplies to clean the room. Was here for the week to visit family and attend my sister’s funeral.

I was told by front desk to get plunger from front desk to declog bathtub which we have not used yet. Bathtub was not draining well and causing water to accumulate. Front desk was accusing me of clogging the bathtub. She said we don't know what i did which i repeatedly mentioned we have not taken a shower yet. We were just running the water to take a shower. Housekkeeping tried to declog with no luck. Eventually we were offered to use another room to take a shower. Unfortunately because of the incident, my family was late for our granddaughter's high school graduation and not able to obtain seats for the ceremony. Defeats the purpose why we booked a hotel near the event so we don't have to travel 3 and 1/2 hours that day and be late for the her graduation.
