avid hotel Columbus Northwest - Hilliard, an IHG Hotel

When visiting family we always stay here. Very clean, friendly service,comfortable bed, Just excellent.

We stayed here for two nights with small children. The hotel was more run down than other reviews would indicate. Walls were dirty and paint was chipping. Floors and carpet were dirty or stained in common areas. Sheets were dirty when we checked in, but staff was quick to respond. Breakfast was ok with somewhat limited options. No coffee maker in the room, but coffee was available in the lobby all day.

This is a great place to stay if you are traveling w/ dogs as there's plenty of area nearby to take them for a walk. Only downside was the noisy kids they put in the room right next to us. Would suggest not putting kids in a room next to a room that has a pet.

We are a family of 3 who had a one night stay in Columbus. Arrived at night and the hotel clerk was friendly and prompt. When we went to the room we were surprised by how modern it looked. It was clean, had a large TV, and creatively had hooks throughout the room for storage. The floors were hard (no rugs) which I would bet helps keep them clean. The room was also quiet (we had neighbors but did not hear them). The only constructive criticism we have is there were no drawers for storage. If we were spending multiple nights having 3 drawers (there were furnishings that could be updated with them) would have been very helpful so one would not have to live entirely out of their suitcase. Breakfast was fine. They had granola bars, cereal, and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. One thing that I have not seen elsewhere is they had a seltzer machine, too (put it in a cup or a water bottle and then add a shot of cranberry juice)! Overall it was a pleasant experience and I recommend the hotel.
