Embassy Suites - Columbus

Staff was just blah at checkin … not nice but not mean. We have stayed at this hotel every time we come down here now for years from the Cleveland area. The front desk at check in did not inform us about any accommodations at the hotel like the happy hour or breakfast. Our room smelled like stale smoke when we walked in. The glasses had lipstick still on them in the room which meant they were never washed. Just disappointed in the way this location is soaring getting worse & worse. We stay at embassy’s a lot bc they are most condusive for our family. But this one has slowly been more & more of a let down.

When we arrived, there was a kids baseball/softball tournament in town, and the lobby/bar area was loud with lots of people. Our room was very quiet, despite the noise off all the people. The room was clean, very nice, and perfect for a couple to "get away". We had driven 5 hours and the staff was very friendly, helping us get all set for the night after a late check in. We were given snacks and water, as well as water when we checked out. Highly recommend the stay at this location!

There were a few reunions and large groups on one of the nights i was there so my daughter did not get to enoy the pool. I di not enjoy the cocktail hour as much as i had in the past as the alcohol was bottom shelf and i opted away from the snacks because i saw small children grabbing everything with bare hands instead of using the tongs provided

My 2 year old broke a glass within minutes of being there so we called the front desk seeing if someone could vacuum it for us and the response was “we will see”. The gentleman who came to vacuum was as kind as can be in contrast to the front desk. There were dirty finger prints on the doorways and debris on the floor in the hallway even in front of the far corner room right when we arrived. There was also smeared poop on the floor in the pool area. Our shower drain did not work and there was no hot water in our other family members room. Unless it’s out of my control I do not plan to stay again.

It’s the staff that keeps us coming back! Always a great experience. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, the bartenders are knowledgeable & the front desk makes you feel like family! They’re also pet friendly! So many reasons to keep choosing Embassy.

My husband and I brought our two young girls to the area to celebrate our oldest's birthday. We booked two rooms, as grandparents traveled with us. Our girls have been talking about swimming at the hotel and shopping for weeks. SO excited! When we arrived at the hotel after shopping and dinner, we changed into our bathing suits to go swimming! We went to the pool, and our card would not open the door. A security guard finally came over and was super apologetic but said that some kids were playing earlier and a ball hit a light and there was broken glass in the pool. Our girls were so upset, but we explained that things happen and it was beyond our control so we just needed to make the most of the night! So we ordered some pizza to the room and got in our pjs. No one notified us that our pizza arrived, my husband walked down to get drinks and saw it sitting at the counter. The hotel was VERY NOISY. Multiple birthday parties with lots of kids in rooms, running around everywhere. CHAOS. The room next to us sounded like there was a WWE match going on, I wouldn't be surprised if the room was destroyed. OH and it was 11:30PM! We requested a room change so we could sleep, which they granted, but the table and tv were broken in that room. Honestly, we just wanted to sleep and get out as soon as we could. I feel bad for the staff, they were apologetic and nice, but could only do so much. We understand, things happen, but it was just such a terrible experience. We will not be back.

Staff was very friendly, room was very clean, and the kids loved the breakfast buffet!

Our stay was a fun weekend get away for our teenager and a friend. The breakfast was excellent and our room was quite cozy and quiet overnight. The only downside was the kids not being able to swim to the outside - only a kid would worry about that.

The staff was wonderful. Front desk staff made sure to talk to my children as we were coming and going, which was very sweet. The ladies in the breakfast buffet making the omelets were also very sweet and made us several delicious omelets! We will be back

The accommodations themselves were nice with welcoming employees. The woman at the reception desk, Christine, was very friendly and remembered us every time we walked by & chatted with my nephews. The rooms were spacious, although the bathrooms were tiny when trying to bathe children. The reason I chose this hotel over others was because of the swimming pool(s). My nephews couldn't wait to swim, jumped in the pool & immediately got out as it was ice bath cold. The pool deck was hard to walk on as the concrete & paint were crumbling. There was a large family staying here while we visited that were running & yelling up and down the hallways at 10pm. I know this isn't a direct reflection of the hotel itself but it did negatively impact our stay due to waking up my children.
