Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Polaris, OH

The property was dirty, moldy, it stank, and the staff suggested that i allow my premie babies to sleep on the floor since they didn’t have pack and plays even though we were told they did. I would never suggest someone stay at this property as it is unsafe. Because I had babies I had to leave early and was only offered a $60 credit to my account for the inconvenience. The hotel was sorry and Expedia was even more sorry for their response to the issues that we had during our stay.

Beautifully clean facility. Rooms had everything you needed in the kitchen and bathroom! Breakfast was fresh and the staff was so helpful and curious. Great location for families wanting to visit area attractions. The hotel has all the comforts of home.

We were able to check in early by an hour without trouble. The kids enjoyed the pool. The pack and play "crib" was missing the mattress, so we were given a comforter. If our baby had been any younger there's no way we could have made that work; apparently this was the only one they had. Our pull-out sofa bed was broken and difficult to use. Had to change rooms after two nights when the door handle for our room came off in our hand and nearly left us locked in! Moving everything to another room was a big hassle. Huge storm came through our last night and left us without power (not hotel's fault, but one more thing) Since we were in two different rooms can tell you lots of kitchen gadgets are missing from rooms based on what we had in one but not the other. Made cooking basic meals a bit difficult. Continental breakfast was pretty great though.

Nice hotel for families

Was very disappointed in the property for the high price. We had a double queen suite. Kitchen was not stocked with plates, bowls or silverware. Only 3 large towels for the room. Tv remote in living area did not work. Pool area was super slick. Walking carefully was hard. My kids slipped multiple times just walking. Not staying here on the way back.

I reserved a suite with 2 queen and queen sleeper. Some “changed” my reservation and I had a king bed with double sleeper. Front desk said 1st shift did, or Expedia???? Front desk called room 1 1/2 he into night. Offered to change. But 3 children were already asleep!!! 😡 waiting to see $$ charged. I deserve a credit for smaller room.

My husband and I are new to traveling my biggest fear since we live in a tourist destination is getting a terrible dirty hotel. This place was amazing it was incredibly clean the price was great we were visiting Delaware OHIO under unfortunate circumstances I wanted close to places to eat and shopping to be able to kill some time in between visits. Husband occupied is a good thing but it was also a very easy drive to both Lewis center and Delaware. I’m sure I will be back soon due to the unfortunate situation and will book here if it’s available. We stayed in the 1 king bed on 4th floor I never could hear anyone and I hope no one could hear our child she didn’t wanna get up in the morning I think she would agree bed was very comfortable and same with pillows. I did find the bed to be short... but it’s ok not a big deal I’m 5’9” and my feet totally were off the bed if I laid straight. But like I said not a big deal.

We travel to Columbus at least once a month to visit our kids, watch the Buckeyes & attend Rock City Church! This is a safe, convenient location & the hotel is nearly perfect! Clean, spacious rooms with many extra perks during our stay including breakfast & a social hour during the week. Our go-to spot!

The pool was FREEZING. I specifically plan trips and hotels with indoor pools because I'm traveling with 3 children that love to swim. It is a nice option to allow them to unwind in the evenings. We went to the pool both mornings and nights of our stay and it was NEVER up to a temperature that could allow us to enter the water. I told the front desk each time and they "reassured" me that maintenance would get the water warm. That did not happen for the duration of our stay.

The website says they have infant cribs - we learned when we arrived that “infant crib” actually means pack-n-play, which are two completely different things. Cleanliness is obviously not a priority at this location. We found loose Advil gelcaps on the floor (thankfully before my 1-year old did) and there were pieces of food between the beds and nightstand. We were gone from our room from morning until evening and housekeeping never came by. We came back to still full trash cans and nothing refreshed. Upon calling the front desk, I was told housekeeping was gone for the day and I’d have to empty my own trash and come down to get my own towels/anything else we needed refreshed, then she hung up the phone - customer service was also not a priority here. I do not recommend staying at this hotel, despite the 9/10 star rating. No idea how they pulled that off…
