Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus - Easton Area, an IHG Hotel

The entire hotel smelled like weed when we checked in. The smell in the lobby was very strong. There were also people out in the hallways talking loudly until midnight and we had 2 children with us trying to sleep. While the room was nice and clean, overall it was not a pleasant experience.

Staff was helpful. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Guests with Cannabis stunk up the elevators and 2nd floor. Not something we appreciated with 3 little kids.

The staff was amazing! They were so personable and friendly. If it wasn’t for them, we would have went elsewhere. The pool was freezing and cloudy, the hot Tub was empty with a make shift tape off of the area where any small child Still could have fallen in and hit that concrete . The guests above us were having a WWE royal rumble match … the hotel appeared to be more upscale than it really was in pictures .

I spent 3 nights here visiting family members in the area. This place is ok nothing fancy. The bed is comfortable. Plenty of parking. The staff particularly overnight cab be more helpful. The breakfast is ok but you better get to it before 10am. Those ladies do not play they will not serve you at 10:01am😂.

When we visit Columbus OH to visit family, we have always stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites. And we have stayed many times. We have not had a problem with any of our stays. Rooms are always clean, and the continental breakfast is great.

Upon arrival, I inspected all of the bedding. The pullout couch did not have any bedding provided and the cover on the paper-thin mattress was very stained. The front desk attendant was very nice and provided me with additional linens. However, shortly after check in, our room slowly began to fill with the scent of marijuana. Around 2am, the scent was so strong it woke up our child. There are no fans in the bathroom, so we had to turn the AC unit on high to circulate the air. We were reminded multiple times not to smoke in the hotel room, but clearly this isn’t enforced. We will not be returning.

Had 3 kids with me. Breakfast did not suit anyone. On day 2 we went out for breakfast. Pool was closed! Kids not happy.

Our time here was disgustingly filthy & uncomfortable for our family. There was hair in multiple places in the shower. There was food debris on the walls. A lightbulb was dead in one of the table lamps that we needed. There was a large, sharp crack in the front edge of the bathroom vanity that scratched us (myself with my very pregnant belly, and our small children) anytime we needed to use the bathroom sink. We had 6 guests on our reservation but were only given bath towels for 4. The pool was so, so cloudy and dirty that you couldn’t see your hand under the water. There also weren’t any swim towels available. To conclude, we specifically chose this property because it had a hot tub listed as an amenity. We were made aware at check in that the hot tub was not actually available & hadn't been for some time. Had this alone been provided in hotel reservation notes we would have cancelled & chosen another property. We are frustrated with the money we spent on a hotel only to be highly disappointed & leave feeling dirty and dissatisfied. In addition, I've contacted Expedia Support & they were very accommodating in trying to help with our poor service at Holiday Inn but the property themselves wouldn't offer approve any kind of compensation. We are simple folk and don't need much out of a hotel room but this was in very poor condition for the money spent on it. We are extremely upset and will not return our service here.

Very nice hotel, super clean, excellent serve yourself breakfast and employees were friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for families.
