Springhill Suites by Marriott New Bern

We stayed at the Springhill suites over Easter and had a great stay. The room was spacious for our family of four and the location was very convenient for our travel purposes. We used the indoor pool which our kids loved, but it did not seem to be monitored or well kept (towels everywhere, basket covers missing). We had a few requests for housekeeping and were told we couldn’t receive extra pillows the first night due to staffing and the receptionist being unable to leave the desk. It also took a very long time to get them the following day. Those are truly our only complaints, otherwise we had a wonderful stay. We particularly enjoyed the options at breakfast, they even had gluten free toast and muffins to accommodate my celiac son. We would definitely stay again, just with the expectation that housekeeping isn’t quite what we would expect. The room was clean upon arrival and the other common spaces were well kept.

We loved the heated pool for the kids. Also the lobby was spacious and had lots of open seating for our large family. Loved watching the football game on the big screen tv in the lobby. Staff were very friendly

Wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again. When we first arrived our room was not clean but it was only a short wait. They provided bottles of water for all of us. The room was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the trundle bed/couch. Breakfast was great. It was very busy, but the staff kept everything full. We also loved the noon checkout time!

pool and pool bathroom need some work, staid in this hotel for the pool so kids could swim water was cloudy bath room had mold everywhere, room was not cleaned once in the 2 days we were their. food was good but poor selection staff was VERY friendly

Staff was great! Very friendly! Room was clean. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. My kids enjoyed the pool. We had 6 people total—beds were comfy and the mattress for the trundle was thin but comfy. The couch was terrible. Hard as a rock. The shower head in our room was awful. They need to be replaced and unfortunately the shower probably needs to be redesigned. There was no way to prevent water from running into the floor which is why the tile and grout was cracked and after you showered you could hear the floor under the tile sloshing from water. Overall—the stay was good. I picked this hotel for the indoor pool for my kids. I probably wouldn’t stay in this particular hotel in the future.

Enjoyed my staff. Friendly staff and a comfortable bed. A little noisy with a lot of kids in the hotel and the shower could have been cleaner.

Return visit - Good location close to family. Nice facility and accommodations. Friendly staff! Would be happy to stay here again!

We loved how spacious the room was and since we traveled with our two kids, the extra living room area was wonderful. We did however find it very disappointing that there was only one television to be shared between the bedroom area and the living room area. Had I read that in the room description, I might have chosen a different hotel to stay at. The kids didn’t want to watch adult stuff and we didn’t want to watch kiddie stuff, so it was definitely a little difficult. The hotel itself was great.

Clean, friendly staff. Overall stay way great. The only disappointing part was that they do not offer waffles every day like we have always been able to make or get when we stay at Hilton branded hotels so my kiddos were a little disappointed with there being waffles only 1 morning out of the 3 mornings we had breakfast there. Other than that we enjoyed our stay overall.

The main thing I liked about the property was it was very quite during night and the family was able to sleep peacefully at night after a tiresome day. The only thing we did not like was water leaking from the shower into the floor outside the shower. The floor in the bathroom was wet when we took a shower
