Clarion Pointe New Bern

My stay would have been perfect until the battery in my room door lock died and we couldn't access entry into our room. The kids wanted to swim, i wanted to get dressed to go to dinner with the family i came to visit. It was unnerving and an inconvenience. I had to keep going back and forth to the front desk trying different reset keys. After the 5th trip back to the desk, it was understood that it was the door and not me. We missed dinner wirh the family and that was upsetting.

Not great value for the money. Breakfast offerings were subpar, (mostly carbs), and sparse. When I came out at 6:30, a half hour after breakfast was to start, there was a total of six bagels, no toaster, cereal, no milk. A guest came up to me and said, “not a whole lot of choices, is there?” When I left an hour later the mini fridge which was stocked with about ten tiny yogurts and four packs of boiled eggs was completely empty. Rooms are okay. Nice touch with coffee makers. Bathrooms have plenty of space, but shower curtain was torn in multiple places. Bed was comfortable. Wouldn’t want to open curtains as first floor rooms look right into parking spaces. Pool in back was covered and I felt sad for the kids who asked the receptionist if she was going to open the pool and she curtly said, “no”.

Clean tidy hotel. Enjoyed my stay. Slept like a baby.

Hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable. I don't like the open access WIFI. I was there for a week to visit family and worked from hotel 3 day that week. Thankfully I have a VPN. Breakfast was good just basic. Big shout out to staff who found a bag we accidently left in parking lot and turned into the office.

We were there for a family reunion it was about 20 of us. Ms Sally very nice always had a smile on her face. Thank you I would stay again.

Everything was clean and tidy in the room. Staff was friendly. Wifi was very spotty and weak. Plan on eating breakfast somewhere else because what they had was for children - cereal, oatmeal, piece of toast.

Exceptionally clean! Staff does a great job and for an older motel the premises were very well kept. We enjoyed our stay while visiting family and exploring New Bern.

It was safe for kids.

Very nice facility and I will stay again when in New Bern to visit family.

The staff was great, the hotel feels like someone local owns it and cares for it. Homey. The workout room was great — they’ve gone over and beyond for a hotel of this kind, they have Precor workout eqiptmwnt, all weights, yoga mats, Chaibani yogurt, a great, clean pool. It was just everything our family needed to get to camp the next morning and we were very pleased and appreciative for the Clarion.
