The front desk staff was excellent. The woman was very accommodating and concerned about our stay. The room itself wasn’t up to par. It was evident housekeeping had not cleaned the floors or vacuumed. A child’s toy was left on the floor next to the couch. The TV did not initially work by the front desk staff came and fixed that. The room phone cord had been cut and didn’t work. There were no washcloths in the room. We found towels and washcloths in the washing machine that had been washed and never put into the dryer. They were still damp and smelled awful of mildew. The coffee mugs were dirty and I had to wash one before I could use it. The website rated this room 10/exceptional. I would rate the room a 5 or 6 at best. I don’t normally complain about stays but this one deserves to be written. I am a loyal Hotels.com customer and am normally satisfied but this time I defined was not pleased with the room. For one night my husband and I were alright but I wouldn’t recommend this place nor stay there again.

The furniture was dirty and the unit above us had young children who ran back and forth late into the night.

Do not stay here!!! The rooms were not cleaned. Section 8 and HUD lives on property. it’s dirty loud people/music outside 3/4am and smells like cigarettes and weed. We had used toilet paper in both bathrooms. No staff at front counter most of the time, nor do they answer the phones. We had no blankets in our room and our room was filthy upon arrival. This was a trip I pre planned and splurged on for my children. Our trip was ruined because of our overall experience at this location. I couldn’t sleep due to feeling unsafe, being cold at night, people yelling outside throughout the night until 3/4 in the morning and the smell of weed and cigarettes in both our room and hallway. I’ve called the hotel - no response, emailed the hotel - no response, emailed corporate-no response and, called corporate numerous times. Do not book here! You will regret it!

It took an hour to check in bc one person Nicki was working, she had to service my room before I was given it. I did precheck in and was check 2xs for incidentals ($100 each) by mistake. There were no wash cloths or enough pillow cases on the bed. I had to wash my sheets, comforter and mattress cover due to debri and hair. I cleaned the entire space. When Helene came and knocked out power, I called and asked Savannah (she's kind) if a precedure is in place for these emergencies. There was none. Parking is ok. A lot of youth were on property smoking weed. Weed smell in halls. Domestic issues (heard through walls and lobby) i didnt feel 100% safe as a single woman staying. Someone tried selling me weed and jewelry. The outlets stopped working in kitchen after outage causing my food to spoil even after managing to save it during outage. I had to plug in the fridge in the sitting area.What they lack in workers and cleaning services is made up with kind staff who is very understanding but clearly overworked. Someones car was hit while parked. Only one main entrance and always a wait for residents and short stay guests. No security. Near shops and food (S. TRYON or Arrowood). Although the setup is truly nice for a short stay I would HATE to live here or stay again. I would not recommend for solo traveling women or families. The stains and dirty floor as mentioned in other reviews is correct too. Bring sandals/slides. Site not letting me add photos.

Rather disappointing experience WaterWalk properties are usually very good. This one however, PARKING IS NON EXISTENT DOORS PROPPED OPEN FOR ACCESS PEOPLE OUT ROAMING THE PROPERTY AT ALL HOURS LOUD VOCAL DISAGREEMENTS IN PUBLIC AREAS SUSPECTED ILLICT ACTIVITY IN PLAIN SIGHT I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling with kids or, the inability to defend oneself. The room was ok, IF you stayed inside. It was clean and, the A/C worked. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Proceeded with caution

The stay could have been so much better then it was with a few changes. It stated no smoking but that is not true as our room was filled with smoke throughout the day from the units around us smoking. The floors in the room were nice but could have been much nicer if they had been swept. Only one lap barley worked. If it stayed on two long the switch would not catch to turn it off. Along with the smell of smoke there was a terrible smell that came from the vents when the fan was on in the bathroom, and since it was connected to the light, there was no way of turning it off. Last, you could never get the front desk on the phone, all calls were forwarded. Could be a great space for a family vacay with several minor updates.
