SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Southwest

Expedia booked me in the wrong Hotel. Arrived on Thursday couldn't get towels for 3 days or room service had to go get our necessities on Saturday, hallways were dirty elevator dirty floors cracked someone (kid) could cut their feet coming from the pool i wiil never stay there again

I have now been several times to Charlotte, NC, a beautiful, cool city with friendly people. Alas, this trip was for family bereavement, so I was especially grateful to have found online, and stayed at, a hotel so new, clean, comfortable, and convenient to the places I needed to go to (almost right off I-485 Arrowood Rd exit, two exits to I-77), and near to NC/SC line. The 'small suite' set-up of the room was perfect, with a sofa sitting area, interesting 'glass enclosed' design for the desk, comfy king bed, and sparkling-clean bath room. It was all I needed, and more! But, better than the modern facility, was the staff working there. They were superb! Kudos to those who prepared a delicious breakfast buffet each day. Brianna was the weekend front desk receptionist, and she was very welcoming and helpful to questions I had about navigating the area and getting to my destinations. Jada was professional and super-efficient processing my check-out when I departed early Monday morning for the airport. Even afterwards, when I wondered about a small fee (just over $6) appearing on my credit card bill, I called and Arianna at the hotel advised this is a small parking fee ($2+ each day) assessed during my stay. No worries, but wanted to be sure this was an actual charge. I recommend highly the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Southwest. Great hotel and staff. Thank you!

The front desk staff were all excellent and the lobby was good, decor and lighting nice. Spacious room and really nice bathroom very clean. Beds are a bit uncomfortable and the day bed pullout is good for a small little child but I’d say no older than like 5. Now this is not the fault of the property staff but the soundproofing is not good. Sadly a toddler was running in the room next door at 12am-3:15am when I finally had to call desk staff because the toddler would run and slam into the door that would open up between the rooms then the kiddo would laugh or scream. I got no sleep. Again staff were sweet and accommodating and had that family maybe go to another room? Because it was silent after 3:30am I heard them leave.

We booked this hotel based on the fact that it had a pool. Advertised amenities weren’t available - we requested to move to a different property with an open pool and management refused. The exterior of the building is not in great condition (damaged fire pit area etc). Our room was a king with sofa bed booked for 2 adults and 2 children. There were no linens for the sofa or pull out bed. Initially we were told the hotel was full and none were available. We eventually got some from the front desk but it took forever. I absolutely do not recommend this property.

Pool is small and no hot tub, but when we checked in night front desk attendant was super nice and let the kids swim after hours. Breakfast hours differ on weekends and weekdays, so pay attention to that. Layout of our room was nice except for bathroom door. It is made of glass so if someone gets up in middle of night to use it, wakes entire room up.
