Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront

I travel quite a bit and I'm lucky to be able to stay at some extremely beautiful hotels. Portland's Canopy was one of the best all around experiences I've ever had. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were huge and very well thought out, area was convenient and walkable and the food and staff were exceptional. I was in town for a family emergency (unfortunately) but will definitely be back soon!

Eric, the enthusiast went out of his way to make sure we had an incredible time. He was so kind and brought my kids treats more than once. Looked out for us when we had a small issue and made sure to over attend to all of our needs. It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, and we will return. The room was lovely and perfectly suited to our needs with two children. Would definitely return. Excellent service and stay.

Our 4 year old daughter has cerebral palsy and walks with a walker. We requested an accessible room and accessible shower. After I made the reservation, the hotel staff immediately contacted me so I could explain what we needed , and make sure it was confirmed. When we arrived, there was not only the accessible shower waiting for our daughter, but a stuffed animal, a card wishing us a good trip, and a book written by the hotel manager about a little girl at the Hilton Canopy (think Eloise and the Plaza). It was precious! The hotel also had a large, family bathroom stall on the first floor that all 3 of us could be in at the same time, which is necessary for helping our daughter. We often did things in Portland during the day that didn’t have easy bathroom situations, so we came back to the hotel in the middle of the day just to use this bathroom, and then went back out to do more. Its availability was huge for the success of our trip. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. Not everyone considers accessibility but when they do it it is so helpful for families like ours.
