Great stay, almost perfect but not a great family hotel. Toilets are split seats so hard for a potty training kiddo. Swimming area also was more for lap swimming then family playing.

Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The shuttle was a huge bonus, we were in town for a concert and it was so nice not to have to pay to park. The pool was clean and my kids had a blast swimming. The only down side was some slight repairs needed in common areas and the gym was really small with only one bench. I would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff and good location! We had requested a crib in advance, and even though they ran out of cribs, the staff went out of their way to accommodate and bought a pack n play for our baby to sleep in. Overall, happy with our stay!

The location is very close to downtown that it is a nice walking distance without needing to drive and pay for parking at one of the public garages. The hotel is an affordable, family friendly hotel with a nice indoor pool and lounge on site. The self parking is the cheapest you will find in the downtown area hands down. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I was surprised by the amenities and comfort for the price as there were upscale hotels we have stayed in the area that didn’t compare. The atmosphere is your average hotel that has some history so don’t expect an upscale decor but one that does the job at a great price. A travelers dream with the good average night costs with a good view, comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. What did I miss? It’s worth the stay and then some, we will be back.

We used to stay here fairly frequently when the grandchildren were young. Many things have changed but not the view or the basic quality. Port of Call restaurant has a more limited menu, but the food was excellent. Breakfast included for a reduced fee and meals were off the menu. I do believe it was the best omelet I've ever had. Our room was clean and comfortable and updated. The price was reasonable for the time of year and the location was great. service was pleasnt and prompt.

Great location in the center of downtown, updated rooms, and super kind staff. Oh- and what must be the largest indoor pool in the area, which is a must for family fun!

First the positives - great location and safe parking. Big pool in the basement.
Cons - Asked for a quiet room, and was put next door to a family. Walls are very thin. Alarm went off at midnight - called down to report this the next morning twice and nobody was at the desk for the call. No trash can in the bathroom, plug covers peeling off. There were no towels in the pool area and it wasn't well attended.

The property is great. I have been there before and was very excited about the rate we were able to secure via Hotels.com.
That being said the trip ended terribly.
My family and I (me, my wife, and our 2 nearly 6-year-olds) went down for breakfast at 10am (breakfast ended at 11am and checkout was at 11am).
We were in a line of 3 parties for over 30 minutes (probably closer to 40-45 minutes) before being seated and were never given any update as to the expected timeline to be seated.
We weren't served until we had been on-site at the restaurant for over an hour. (Imagine the fun it was to keep the kids behaved for that long).
When the food arrived my eggs and sausage were so salty I couldn't finish them. There was no follow-up visit from the server to request it be fixed.
I actually got up from the table, found the water pitchers, and helped myself to water to try and get through the meal.
When we got the bill there was no inquiry about whether or not our breakfast should have been covered by our Hotels.com reservation the bill was just dropped off.
There was no point in making a scene as the entire restaurant seemed to be run by the hostess, manager, and busser and they were working HARD.
By the time we got back to our room, we were 20+ minutes past check out and I had to get our keys turned back on.
The front desk staff was very helpful and got us back into the room. The housekeepers who were working on our floor were also very understanding.

I brought my grandchildren(10 & 5 years old) to Portland to go to the Science Museum Shark exhibit and discovered that also the train museum is within walking distance as well. They had a great time at both places. Of course they were also excited to stay overnight in a hotel that had a pool. All day my granddaughter kept asking when we were going to the hotel to swim in the pool. I'm not sure, but, I think the hotel pool was their favorite thing to do. Who knew? Our room was clean and neat. Our room overlooked the bay. Very relaxing! We enjoyed very delicious meals at the hotel dining room and lounge, AND the kids ate FREE! That is a fabulous deal! Thank you so much for the great stay.
