This place was in a great location. Everything was walkable and if it was a little to far the street cars were close and only cost $3 for 24h. The hotel itself was very nice and had that historic vibe. The area was quiet too which was nice as we were traveling as a family. The only negative is you have to wait till 3, not 230 or 250,to checkin or they charge you.

Took a family trip to NOLA for Christmas. The Pelham was a great “home base” for the trip! It was the perfect location to park at the Shops on Canal, use the streetcar, explore the French Quarter and shop at the outlet mall! We had 2 standard rooms (411 and 409). 411 was right outside of the elevator and bigger than 409, but we didn’t have complains about either room! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good!

Stayed here with my wife for the weekend after a work conference. Definitely loved being on the quieter side of Canal St for the first time. We had a windowless room with a king bed and I highly recommend for those that like complete darkness and quiet. We use our room for sleep and rest only so not having any view is not an issue for us. Room was small but this worked for us as we were not staying in the room very long at all during the day. Coffee is served in the morning I think starting at 7:00 am however that could be pushed back to 6:00 for us early risers. Ruby Slipper right outside the hotel is an AMAZING breakfast spot. Get there before 8:30 am or be prepared for a significant wait time. Easy walking distance to Bourbon St, Cafe du Monde/French Quarter, and even Frenchman St if you feel extra adventurous. Staff was helpful and friendly. They do have a security guard on duty through the night which was appreciated and adds a layer of safety for those that may be a little apprehensive about staying on a quiet street in the city. Overall, I think this is a A place to stay for couples looking for a getaway. I don't think it works particularly well for families with children due to space constraints. This is going to be our new spot in NOLA to stay during and after the conference. I have been down here about 7 times in the last 10 years and wish I had found this sooner. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Upon arrival to the front entrance of hotel, garbage cans line the opposite side of small street. You have to be let in the locked doors to lobby which is a small area. The person who checked us in was maybe tried. He wasn't as energetic as the others were the next day. They were upbeat, friendly and helpful. The suite was very clean but the layout was not functional. There was no phone in the room, no full length mirror and no place to hing towels in bathroom. No restaurant as you might think from pictures. Silver Slipper on corner can not be entered from hotel. Best part of hotel is close proximity to things to do. Willie's Chicken Shake just steps away was a winner for our family.
