We were in town for a concert last night. We stayed for 1 night at this hotel. We killed a total of 6 (5 in the bathroom & one near the tv) baby roaches in our room..i tried calling a few times to let front desk know but no answer. I told front desk upon departure this morning & all she said was "i'm sorry". This hotel is runned down now. There are holes in the chairs & stained pillowcases. We paid almost $300 to stay in a dump!!! DO NOT stay here. Go elsewhere.

It was the second time my family and I return to the Marriot. Our first experience was great so we had to stay here again. We were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The hotel was clean and well kept. The halls were quiet and the pool area was great. The infused water in the lobby made our long days of walking around the quarter so much better! We will be back!

Great hotel. Awesome location. It was very helpful that the check in/valet was under the building instead of like many other hotels where it was on the road. Much safer, especially with kids.

I had high expectations considering the price of my stay. My room was extremely small and the bathroom was toddler-sized at best. The counter top was previously broken and pieced back together and the bathtub had a slow drain. We were not provided enough wash cloths or towels. The pillows were too soft and the vents were dirty.

Great location for access to French quarter without getting caught up in the craziness of French quarter streets, to arrive and depart. Wonderful hotel, treated us like family.

This was the perfect location for our first trip to New Orleans. We brought our two kids, and the hotel catered to them well. They loved the room service menu and the pool most of all. For us adults, it was all about proximity. We were near to everything without needing a car.

NOLA is a popular place. There’s something going on every week. Not sure why this property was so understaffed and overwhelmed. The check-in line at 4:30 was a good 45 minute wait. Then we were told that our two rooms would be ready “later. We’ll call you…” By 8:30, we were pooped and waited in the check-in line for another 45 minutes. They could scrabble together two rooms, but in different towers. Not the way you want to stay with kids. But the option of two rooms together “later” did not appeal. The loo was less than clean, with a stained bath mat and unknown brown substance on the floor. The countertop has been less than effectively wiped off. When I tried to call someone, I got a voicemail. The line at the desk was again across the lobby. We’ll be looking for a smaller boutique style place. The Marriott was overwhelmed and it showed. Bright side: the bell staff and valet kept their areas well managed and moving well amid the chaos.
