The Westin New Orleans

I traveled with my family to visit my daughter at Tulane. We arrived Saturday afternoon and left by 7am Sunday. My husband woke up at 530 am only to see a huge roach on the tile in front of the bathroom. I was appalled as I’m deathly afraid of bugs, as are my girls. My husband captured the roach and took it to the front desk and the staff was also shocked, however, we have not heard from management yet. I would be too afraid to stay here again and was disappointed that nothing was done, other than the staff being apologetic.

Hotel was excellent and very helpful and friendly and made me and my family very comfortable

I “upgraded to the top floor and a bigger room for $35 extra per night. We were placed right next to the elevator shafts and it sounded like a freight train. Westin did refund our additional upgrade money and offered to move us, which is a complete pain with children. We should have been paid to stay in that room.

Nice bathroom; has a fridge. Comfortable beds. Two queen room has lots of space for family of 4. Beautiful during the holidays!

It was a terrible experience. King suite stay. I was gone for 15min to drop luggage and our newborn off with my wife and my Car was booted because there was no valet. 135 dollars later to get the boot off..Keep in mind the parking lot said public and hotel parking. 6 bellhops standing around. Living room tv didn’t work. Overall terrible experience. Concierge was not understanding. Would not recommend.

My family met in New Orleans and the Westin was worn and dirty. The service from the front desk to getting our rooms cleaned was awful. I usually appreciate the Westin's across the country but avoid this one

The property itself was very nice and the Heavenly Beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for a trip to NOLA. Close to everything and far enough from The French Quarter so that it wasn’t so crazy and loud. My sister and I were there for 4 nights. Unfortunately, on 2 out of the nights, we came back to our hotel room and there was a very large cockroach in our bathroom. The 2nd day there was a baby as well. We called the front desk and they had maintenance come up to our room to kill them. They offered to switch rooms after that 2nd incident, but at that point we were leaving the next morning. The rest of the property was very nice, and clean, but that situation is what caused me to leave a negative rating. I am a Bonvoy loyalty customer, and will continue to stay at their properties, but it’s worth noting because it was really gross.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. My husband and 2 kids (age 10 and 13) had a great time from February 11-18. The rooms are nice, convenient and safe location, and the high end shopping mall downstairs was a nice amenity. They had a Super Bowl watch party on Super Bowl Sunday which was convenient. We had to call the housekeeping supervisor, Stephanie, for a small issue on one of the days and she went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. Thank you Stephanie and thank you Westin for a fun week!

The staff was amazing. The went above and beyond for my family and I. Super recommend. My wife also swears that they have the most comfortable beds ever.

The Westin was beyond my expectations. Its an amazing hotel, everyone is friendly and are very helpful.Very clean and its smells so fresh when you walk in. Its very safe if you travel with children both day and night. Everything is walking distance. Overall I love this hotel and will return back to it.
