Holiday Inn Express & Suites Davenport, an IHG Hotel

I absolutely love this chain. My family stays in these almost every time we travel! Such great breakfast choices and coffee and creamer all day long. The rooms and property are always clean! In this area I swear this is the only hotel in a 10mile radius with a working pool.

My children and I have stayed there for the last three years during the Mississippi Valley Fair. It is easy to get to from Dixon and convenient to get to the fairgrounds.

Pan handlers would t leave us Alone and went right up to my 14 year car window. We checked in and out within 15 minutes and staff said (u are safe here just don’t go across the street. She assured me that they (tell them to leave the property etc. but this person didn’t leave. Did t feel safe with my children so we checked in and out within 15 minutes and went to a different and safer hotel

This place was beyond dirty, it was filthy. Every surface from the night stand, desk & fringe were covered is a thick , sticky look ( I didn’t dare touch it) substance. In the mini fridge was I kid you not food with bites taken out of it!! The furniture looked like it came from the side of the road and was falling apart . Not to mention the ENTIRE hotel reeked like cigarette smoke, was dimly lit and felt unsafe from the moment my child and I entered it. In short we left and got a room somewhere else because there was absolutely NO WAY I was staying at this location. Because I booked via Expedia and not the hotel I was unable to get a refund OR talk to an actual human being about this terrible experience. So I highly recommend no one stay here. Legitimately DO NOT STAY HERE.

We went with our friends for a wrestling tournament and the adults and kids had a great time. The pool was nice, the lobby was inviting, the staff were all accommodating and patient with all the kids. It was a great stay.
