Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn

This was 2nd night of a 3 day cross country trip. Stayed previous night 10 hours away in a Super 8. My wife wanted "a little upgrade" on the 2nd night and this filled the bill. I'd call it a 4 Star Hotel and it properly checked all those boxes on comfort, cleanliness, on site restaurant and good customer service. The pool happened to be down. While that wasn't an issue for us. I can see it as a downer for someone making a same day advance reservation that wanted a pool (ie with kids)

Great little weekend get away family friendly very clean and staff was helpful with whatever you needed

Some kind of Sports Competition going on in area, so TONS of kids whose parents did not tell them that stomping/running down hallways and yelling WAS NOT OKAY!

My wife and I wanted a relaxing stay. They offer adult swim from 9pm-10pm. The pool was full of kids so we waited for adult swim. I tried to call the front desk because the kids were still in the pool but they didn't answer my repeated calls. So when the kids finally left around 10:30 we went to swim only to find the pool was closed and locked. The kids were running all over the place even knocking on our door twice and running away. The next morning I told the receptionist about all this and he told me I have to request adult swimming. Looked like a nice place but We probably won't stay again because we paid extra for a hotel with a pool because I have restless leg syndrome and soaking them before bed helps me sleep (our room didn't even have a tub)and we couldn't use pool or hot tub.

They were not ready for us even though we checked in over an hour later than we could. So we took an upgrade and went to our room. Then my wife noticed there were no curtains on a window. I was told the curtains would be replaced. Next we were told they didn't have the curtains. We then had to move to another room. We rented the room so our grandchildren could come and swim in the pool and we had a pizza party. I had to tell them 4 times the kids were not staying the night but they acted like I was lying to them. We had to eat pizza in our room because the only tables were not available unless we rented them for $250 for four hours. Needless to say we will never stay there again!!

Three children were running through the halls, causing a disturbance. Nothing was done to stop them from misbehaving.

Youth baseball teams were also in the hotel and the kids were running around unsupervised and being rambunctious in the pool so we were unable to let our kids swim. The room needs to be deep cleaned our kid found inappropriate items in the sofa bed. The breakfast was cold and the line to the waffle maker was extremely to long to wait for.

There were 3 birthday parties and approximately 60 people in the pool area. It’s a good place for kids but not so much if you just want a quiet night. The restaurant was very good.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We arrived with our 2 year old and 5 week old, and the front desk personnel (Aarti) upgraded our room to be right outside the pool. That was very helpful for when we went swimming with our toddler. The pool was very warm which was great. The hot tub was not open. Breakfast had lots of options - more than you normally see at a hotel breakfast. We are going to stay here again in a couple weeks!

My kids were disappointed the pool was not open. Overall was a great place to stay!! Breakfast was wonderful.
