Hampton Inn & Suites Davenport

To say that staying in this hotel is my vacation is an understatement. The staff you have working here give me hope that all is not lost.. For the past couple of years I've been traveling and I wish I could win the lottery and give them the best vacation for them and their families. The Baymont Inn in Galesburg and the Hampton Inn in Davenport are the Gold Stars that are the standard all businesses and politicians should be striving for

Don’t waste your time staying here. I booked this hotel online for our family of 5. The only room available was an ADA room. When I went down and asked for a roll away they told me we were in a standard Queen which only fit 4 and a roll away in that room was against fire code. We explained to them that we booked it for 5 online and that was the options that came up and our room had ADA hand rails and 36 inch doors. The lady at the front desk said we were in a hearing impaired room not a handicap room. After a back and forth conversation that went no where, I finally asked for extra sheets because someone was sleeping on the floor. We waited for them until 10 pm and they never showed with our extra bedding. I also asked the lady to change us to a suite so that we could get a roll away and she said they were sold out. Online showed that option available. She argued with me about that as well. The toilet in our room rocked because it was seated incorrectly, the toilet paper holder was broken and there was no soap in the shower. There was a baseball tournament going on and kids were running the halls until midnight. After a 12 hour drive, and $260 forked out for a hotel room we were beyond disappointed. The staff was rude, unfriendly and totally unwilling to help us.

Offered no room service without request and I put in for that. 3 days into the stay I had someone knocking repeatedly on the door for service and they said it was not communicated. I notified the front desk and they said they updated it but then I dealt with it for the remainder of my stay regardless. There were also ants coming out of the wall by the shower. One of the outlets only half worked. Being next to the pool also turned into a mess with kids and their parents being noisy in the hall way.

The bedding and towels were amazing. The walls are paper thin. From the 4th floor you could hear people scraping ice on their cars, and there were adults and children screaming in the halls after 10pm. Their breakfast was abysmal. Green bananas, cold eggs and out of coffee. There was no water pressure and broken floor tiles. The staff was very nice though.

Our soccer team (and families) stayed for a tournament in town. This hotel was conveniently located but not so close that it was packed. Breakfast was very good, and went until 10:00 which was great for those early morning games (kids could eat after). Staff was super nice and let us all gather in the dining room for team meals. I’m extremely satisfied with our stay and would be back in a heartbeat.
