My Place Hotel - Davenport/Quad Cities IA

Traveling with pets is always hard to find a clean and convenient hotel. This was both, the staff was friendly, I will add this to my list of trusted hotels when traveling with my pets and children.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. In a nice area and perfect for our family of 3 for the night.

So first off this hotel was expensive. No pool for the kids. The room was very clean. The beds are absolute garbage. They felt soft to the touch but when I laid down on it I quickly realized that the mattress was as hard as the floor. I'll becseeing a chiropractor for the next 3 months. No bull on that either. The channels on the tv are as goofy as it gets too. Not sure why it says we get channels but you don't.....I would switch to direct tv. I always had problems finding someone working at tge front desk from 6pm after. I waited and waited for service only to see that they were hiding in the back office. So I paid $180 a night for the hotel but if your looking for breakfast then good luck....you can by some overpriced items by the front desk. No ice machine.....now thats some BS there. I was told that we can make ice in our freezer which is great but in 3 days the fridge/freezer didn't make enough ice to fill a 1 gallon bag. Ha...and the funny thing is that the ice maker made so much noise that every time it dropped ice in the middle of the night it woke everyone up in the room. Now to the room darkness. Yep.....I like the room to be dark so its easy to fall asleep and dark to means no light. So if you like dark then bring a roll of duck tape to seal up the sides of the window otherwise it lights up the room from all the light coming around the blind. So all in all I would skip this hotel and move on down to the next one.

Hotel was super clean and fresh smelling when you walk in the front door! The people who worked at the front desk were incredibly warm and friendly. Room was very clean and spacious. Having a full fridge and freezer was huge for us! There were a couple issues with the room I stayed in.. first, the bathroom had a very overpowering sour soap smell. And second, the bed was extremely squeaky. Made it hard to sleep because when my child so much as stirred in their sleep, the high pitch squeak woke me up. I also thought it was odd that there’s a stove, but no pans or dishes or anything. However, none of these things were dealbreakers and I will definitely look into staying here again if I need to return to the area!
