I stayed in a 2 bedroom room with a little living room and kitchen. It was honestly great because each room had a bathroom and there was enough space for everyone, there were 7 of us including a baby. The breakfast was good, I wish it didn't end so early on Friday, at 8am, my whole family and I missed breakfast unfortunately. I think it should of ended at 9am instead. We were hoping on not having to spend money on breakfast. Staff was very nice and the property is very relaxing and feels safe and quiet. It is close to restaurants and some shopping and not far from the naval base. I definitely recommend staying here.

The stay in our 2 bedroom suite offered ample space for our 3 person family. The area was clean and provided a nice kitchen setup. The regular sized refrigerator was very useful. The furniture throughout the suite was was adequate but worn. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room provided scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes as well as yogurt, oatmeal and bagels, etc. Unfortunately, the breakfast area only served for an hour, 7-8. The hot items were sometimes slow to be replenished. The exterior of the property was well maintained. The location is convenient to the Great Lakes training area, about a 10 minute drive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Sonesta ES.

My family stayed there to be close to my Grandson's graduation from the Navy Bootcamp. It was close to the Naval base, stores, and the train.

The ONLY negative thing I can say is that the mattresses in the pull out beds need to be replaced. We used them in all three rooms and they were stained and flat. Otherwise I would highly recommend to families there for PIR graduation.

I was there for my son's graduation at Great Lakes Naval Base. The hotel was clean and customer service was excellent. The guest service representative took the time and explained, gave us dining suggestions and directions to the graduation. They even went above and beyond by providing door hangars for families to hang the Anchors! I was very impressed and satisfied with the accommodation.

PROS:The staff the checked me in was extremely friendly and accommodating . I did appreciate the kitchen so I was able to cook for my family when needed. Conveniently located in a super Walmart and places to eat. CONS: The bathroom was not very clean. Mold around the toilet . This hotel does not burn towels to your room. Do you need to go down and get towels and panties every time you need them.

The staff were amazing, professional and polite. They even sang Happy Birthday to me when I arrived, they played the Naval graduation for my family who could not attend and welcomed my sailor by congratulating him on his accomplishment. I highly recommend Sonesta as a great place to stay.
