Holiday Inn Chicago - Schaumburg, an IHG Hotel

It was a very nice place. I would recommend the “sound proof” rooms ours was on the 5th floor and it was quite and no kids. Worth a little more money.

Nice stay. Only downside was the pool was ICE cold and there were no towels in the pool area. We picked this hotel since we had our kids on the trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had to pay for breakfast which was okay, not great. Room was good, linens and towels clean, but hotel needs an upgrade/remodel.

First off, when we walked in we were greeted by the manager that treated us like we were family arriving home. The whole staff were amazing and personable. I have stayed at many many hotels this one far exceeds all expections. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The stay was okay. Only issues I had were that I requested to be away from the elevator and I ended up on the first floor, the second room on the right across from the fitness center. The hallway was noisy because of all the kids running up and down the hall after going to the pool. Also, we could hear the people above us walking around. It was 12am and I didn't fall asleep until like 1:30am because of them. The noise level in this hotel is insane.

It was a good room for my trip to see Grandchildren perfect space for them and myself they were able to stay a few nights with me.

When we booked it asked if we had any special requests. We requested to be near our friend’s room. Upon check in there was no note of this and we were on the opposite end of the hotel. No apology from the man checking us in. Otherwise...everything else was great. Awesome lobby that we had cocktails in...great updated room...nice pool for the kids...the outside patio was a huge win! We loved the gas fire pit. Very nice stay. We would definitely return.

Stayed here for a family vacation. From the beginning, we got there at 2:58 for checkin the lady who checked us in was not customer friendly at all. Get our room key and get all the way upstairs and down to the very last room and the key doesnt work. Go all the way back down and she ignores me I speak to someone else. The rooms were good but small. The shower doesnt have a door or curtain. So the bathroom floor got soaked after every shower. I call for more towels and as for 3 towels and 3 wash cloths. House keeping comes up with one towel. The fridge didn't work, wouldn't get cold, and smelled funky. The air conditioning didn't work which made it impossible to sleep. The pool/hot tub was clean but there were never any towels. Nice fitness center. Outdoor firepit didnt work, was being used as an ashtray. The bar and common area was nice. Parking was not an issue. They serve a breakfast buffet for $10 a person. It includes eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. We opted out. Easily accessible from the high way and very close to many things.

I booked two rooms at the same time, It was for my family so I assumed they would be adjoining rooms. upon arrival I found out they would not be. John at the front desk was helpful in getting us rooms across from each other. The room that was adjoining to mine had their tv on very loud even into 1am and then again they woke us up at 6am with their tv. The next morning I spoke with a different girl at the front desk about moving rooms and getting my two rooms together. She said not a problem and it will be fixed when we got back that evening. She did not relay this message to anyone so when we returned that night we didn't even have rooms. John made the best out of what he had to work with and was able to get us two rooms on a different floor away from the loud room. I knew going in that the breakfast was not free, which was okay, but I was surprised they didn't even offer free coffee in the morning in the lobby. The beds were very firm and we did not sleep well on them. The pool was nice and clean and my son enjoyed it. We did appreciate the big lobby area with large tables so we could play board games in the evening and not have to play them in our rooms. Overall I would not book a stay here again.

Noisy, walls vety thin. no vending machines, called to get towels was told sold out so couldn’t get any. So we used 2 towels for the 4 of us. No hot coa coa for kids. Just coffee and tea. Couldn’t adjust heat way to hot.
