Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago/Schaumburg, IL

This is my second or third time staying at this property and had become my "go to" hotel whenever i am back in the Chicago area. Its clean, quiet, there is always parking available and it's located very near to Woodfield Mall (always a stop on the Chicago Circuit for me). The front desk staff is always kind and helpful, especially Danielle! Hotel is very near to the hughways that you can take to head in any direction, including downtown Chicago! The rooms are spacious and feature full-size fridge and dishwasher. There is a lot of counter space as well so you'll have ample room to set up a workspace if necessary. Really, about the omly negative thing i can say is thag i think the bathroom needs some sort of ventilation/fan to suck pit some pf the steam? The showers are spacious and feature sliding glass doors (so much better than shower curtains) and the water pressure is perfect (and adjustable). Price point is usually cheaper than some area hotels that arent as nice! Highly recommend this property! (They also have a smaller indoor pool but i have never used it; it tends to get busy as there always seems to be a fair amount of families staying whenever I am there.)

If you want a good night’s sleep you might not get it here. The beds are very stiff and the pillows are not supportive enough. My kids were cold with the thin blankets and the neighbors above us just walking was loud. They also had little kids that were jumping off the bed the entire time. I wouldn’t stay here again if I got a free stay. Sleep is so important when you’re on the road and now I’ll be driving home exhausted with a sore back.

Great for families

There was a family traveling with pets across the hall from us. They left the dogs alone for at least 5 hours Friday night. They were barking until 11pm. We called and even went down to the front desk to advise. Nothing happened. On Saturday morning the family left around 730am and the dogs started up again. We went to the front desk to advise again. They said they would check it out. However we went back to our room after breakfast and the family had left them alone again or they were still barking. We’ve stayed at this property several times and was very disappointed with the lack of caring.

Great place to stay with or without family

Loved our stay, wonderful breakfast. My kids loved the waffles. My only complaint is the pool had way too much chemicals. Made my skin feel so dry and itchy afterwards.

The room was nice. Plenty of room for family. The bathroom was a little dirty around the door jamb. Something sprayed all over it. Small TV for such a large room. One side of the room was cooled down but the bathroom side was warmer. But over all not a bad room. We would recommend it.

Pack n play for baby smelled TERRIBLE, was broken and had tears. Not something I would ever lay a baby in. No extra blankets in room for pull out sofa

Overall property was fine for a local getaway with young children. With this said the pool was FREEZING cold so my kids would NOT go swimming in it which was the main purpose of our family getaway to feel more like a vacay. Otherwise a fine property to stay at and staff was very friendly.

I rarely leave reviews but this experience was so bad I had to. I used to think Homes 2 Suites was a sure thing for a quality comfortable stay anywhere in the USA. Not anymore. It’s rated 8.8 but should be rated 5-7. The male desk agents were very short with me regarding my complaints and concerns and I felt rushed and not heard when speaking to them. The 2 female guest agents were pleasant to deal with however. The room had a damp humid smell. The room made me itch. The floor felt nasty below my feet and made my feet itch like they don’t clean the carpet. The bed made my skin crawl as if they don’t clean the comforter or sheets well. I was still itching a day after my stay. When I arrived they put me right next to a family with small kids. This was bad judgement. They checked in right before me. I got this changed immediately. The rest of my stay was filled with noise above me like kids playing football , running and jumping up and down and screaming above me. The room had wear and tear and the caulking in the shower was turning black. Eww. My last night they cleaned the room but only left me 3 dry towels no face or hand towels. Please don’t stay here if you want a comfortable peaceful stay and good customer service.
