We had to pay an extra 100 for what she said was a parking fee even though we were told parking was free. Then she said it was for damages to the room. Which was confusing because no where did it state that. She also said we would be getting the 100 back if the room was fine which i doubt we will even though the room was spotless. We were not told how to use the elevators with the key cards so it was a bit of a struggle even though someone else staying in the hotel helped us out. The door had to locks on it for security measures which made me feel safe. The counter and some of the dishes were still wet. The freezer had left over ice from the previous people. The fridge was wet on the inside. The breakfast could have been better. They dont scramble their eggs, they mash boiled eggs into tiny pieces. It also stated that room service would be around once a day and she did come but she never took our trash. The tv could use some more channels for little kids but other than that the room was clean, the view was nice and over all i was comfortable.

Had potential to be good. *Got to check in at around 4:15pm and they had already given my room away and didn't have my room type. Without even saying what was going on he just started booking two separate rooms (instead of the suite I had ordered), he didn't even ask if my kids were old enough to be in their own room. I told him I didn't want separate rooms for the kids, so he said he'd give me half off. I paid $400 and then only got $100 off when I got a refund notification (that is only 25%). Even if they only gave me half of the base price before taxes, that would have been $160 off. *I ended up adding a second day so the next morning I went down to check in and I told them that our shower wasn't working. It was literally just dripping out and it wouldn't shut off either. She said they'd send someone up to fix it. A few hours later I went back down and another lady said she'd send someone. No one ever came. *The fan didn't work in the bathroom so it just kicked on and kicked right back off. *The couch was dirty and had visibly large chunks of dust balls and dirt that I could see as soon as I walked in. I know it sounds like a lot, but overall the hotel would have been good. It was a great location and the front desk guys were super friendly on the first night (Saturday July 13). *Limited parking, they ran out of spaces (website says parking available and doesn't mention it's limited) had to park two blocks away and walk alone at night in the streets of Chicago.

Awesome. Corey at check in was so nice. Due to the fact that I was there for a family members surgery at hospital and I wasn’t sure when hospital would discharge him, they were super cool about my car staying there after I had checked out. Really nice not to have to worry about car in addition to everything else.

Caroline was awesome with assisting me and my family with getting into out room. She kept me updated on our room status due to us being early arrivals. I will be booking with the Hyatt house again in my future travels‼️

The hotel is actually an old hospital turned into a hotel. I actually felt creepy vibes, but this hotel is actually for families who may have loved ones in the hospital nearby. It's not a hotel to choose if you want to stay in Chicago. They offer breakfast, but it ends at 9am which is early for me since I can't really eat anything before 9am in general. They don't offer water, you have to pay for it, which I thought was a bit ridiculous. I don't plan to stay here again, unless I have to for any unfortunate reason.

Love the history of the building and that it is preserved by being on listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Cute outdoor playground for kiddos. Fantasy breakfast bar and convenient parking.

We had booked a king suite with sofa bed due to traveling with a toddler. Upon arrival we were told they had no sofa bed rooms available and no cots. Our daughter had to sleep on the sofa cushions on the floor. The hotel was fine but I am disappointed in Expedia for offering a room that was not available and not communicating that with us.
