The Emily Hotel

Convenient location to what we wanted to see in Chicago. Paid $30 extra for my minor child (since she was the third guest in the room) but only two sets of guest towels in the room. $25 food and beverage credit was included, but when we attempted to use it at the cafe for coffee and pastries we were told the "system is down" and no alternative was offered. I didn't get to use the credit.

Great location and close restaurants, bars and the United Center. Staff at the Emily Hotel was professional, friendly and very informative. Check-in was easy and quick and we will definitely stay again and suggest to friends and family.

Stellar staff and the room was fantastic. Great neighborhood for the walk to and from The Cobra Lounge. I've recommend you already to all my friends and family. Definitely coming back when I'm in Chicago.

The beds are so low to the ground - they are perfect for a toddler. For a grown adult- extremely uncomfortable. The “we did it ourselves” look of all the room custom woodwork looks like a college project. Lighting in the room is by far one of the worst features along with the bedside tables which are about 8” off the ground! Try looking for the bedside light in the middle of the night and running your hands up and down the nasty cable to find the toggle on/off switch. I have never the wood chair for the “desk” is so hard and uncomfortable- don’t plan on sitting for more than 5 minutes. This hallway carpets are filthy and the whole place feels more like a dorm than an urban chic hotel.

Very dark lighting and hard to keep water in shower w one open side. Loved the service and esp the breakfast, w 20 percent off. Great location near family
