Overview

The Chicago Marriott at Medical District/UIC offers a convenient location, particularly for families visiting UIC or attending events at the nearby United Center. While some families found the rooms small and the lack of amenities for children to be a drawback, many others praised the friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness of the hotel, and the free shuttle service to nearby venues (although note that this is not always operational). The hotel's location in the medical district means that emergency sirens might be audible, but this is compensated for by its convenient proximity to various points of interest.

Stayed at this location for the Bulls game that we attended for my son birthday. Location was very convenient as for getting to the game on time and not having to drive far. If I was to return for something involving my kids I wouldn’t choose this location, basically because there’s nothing in the hotel for a kid. It’s literally just convenient for a quick stay or a couple who doesn’t care for a pool. Check in was easy and the lady at the front desk was very helpful. Don’t understand why charge for parking either, really can let that go alone with paying someone for that job. Save money by going to purchase something like make up towels or installing a pool. Not really anything bad to say! Room was clean (small) but overall our stay was okay, not the greatest place yet I’ve been to worse.

This Location was amazing !! The staff at the front desk was soooooo nice and the bistro staff Maria made our evening even better the food at the bistro is top tier !!! get the fries or the pizza, even the chicken sandwich. Another perk was the shuttle transport to the concert venue that was within a mile for FREE, Of coursed we tipped . Guys I kid you not this place was really a Gem and made our visit to Chicago really nice.

Property was in a great location for use by family and friends who had a loved one hospitalized at Rush. Building was unique and the grounds seemed well kept.

I arrived at the hotel that I booked via Expedia. I tried checking in but was told that Expedia outsold and there was no available room. I was not notified of this and was told that Expedia needed to relocate me. Customer service basically blamed the hotel and the hotel vice versa. I was then transferred to the relocation team, which I waited 30 minutes for on hold and I never ended up talking to anybody. Expedia left my family and I stranded with no place to stay. They did NOTHING to help resolve the issue. The hotel didn’t do anything either, they just turned me away. The only useful personnel were the valets, everyone else was useless.

Very clean Hotel with friendly and professional staff from valet to front desk. Rooms was comfortable and very clean. Not a fan of all the Emergency sirens at all hrs of the day/night. I realize this is due to location of Hotel in the Medical District. I feel as windows could be upgraded to be made more sound proof to help reduce the noise. I was disappointed as the free shuttle service was in operational on the night of our stay. Thought my kids & I would have safe transportation to & from United Center. We ended up walking. It was a short & safe walk both to & from the concert. I would definitely stay at this Hotel agin

Convenient place to stay while visiting my child at UIC. Walkable distance from campus. The rooms and the lobby were very clean. Desk staff was pleasant. I'll stay here again.

My experience at the Chicago Marriott at Medical District was pretty good, but too expensive for the amenities available. If you are going to charge $300 I would have hoped for a bit more. However, the staff was excellent and very friendly, so I would still recommend this hotel to friends and family.
