Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown - The Loop

The property is graey for families with kids.

This property was actually very nice, clean, and modern. I just didn’t appreciate the rudeness we experienced with one of the staff members. I was unaware that there was a “quiet time” stipulation after 10pm upon booking, which should have been reiterated during check in. My family was there for a quick weekend staycation for the start of spring break. Our hotel room was called after 10pm about a noise ordinance that we were violating, stating that our music was too loud & we were getting complaints and if it happen again we’d be escorted off the premises. However, we weren’t playing any music at the time & our girls were only giggling watching a movie. I was told verbatim that my girls couldn’t even laugh. We didn’t appreciate this at all especially because this was suppose to be a “kid friendly” hotel. We were also told that security came up and confirmed that our music was loud and they could hear it from the elevator. I thought protocol was to knock and give a verbal warning if there was a true issue. I’m confused because we weren’t playing music at the time but, we did hear very loud music on our floor from someone else’s room. I just feel like the customer service is not up to par and needs a major adjustment. No. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we arrived we were in a room with 1 king bed. Called to ask what happened and was told they were booked and upgraded us….. view was okay, but we need 2 beds to be comfortable with 2 adults and a child. Otherwise was average.

Clean, very friendly staff, kids loved the pool- although I found it a bit chilly!

The property was nice and clean staff was really helpful. One thing I didn’t like was I had to pay $75 for parking and it was on a different part of the street so I had to walk in the dark a lot of the time with my small children

This hotel was in a quiet area very conveniently placed by two parking garages and a metro line stop. It only about 3 blocks from the Willis Tower. Breakfast was really good, and the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The beds an pillows were comfortable as well. I highy recommened this hotel for families as we were traveling with two of our kids.

The Hotel sheets were dirty. There were kids hanging around inside the Hotel that looked like they didn’t belong there. The pool area did seem sanitary. I would not return

Checked in late, and that was no issue. Dropped husband, kids and bags off at door and drove over to parking garage located on the opposite side of the road on corner (very convenient. Check in was easy. Staff was very nice. We were in and out a lot and the staff always made eye contact and either smiled or spoke. Breakfast was ok the first day, much better the 2nd and 3rd days. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. It was a very good experience.

This was a great place to stay! Loved the pool for the kids and the area is really nice. The parking garage they offer is on the same block and super easy to get into. It’s right in the downtown area so you can easily walk everywhere! Definitely will stay here again.
