Kinzie Hotel

Kinzie hotel and its staff was completely fantastic. Conveniently located to dining and attractions. I felt like their profile undersold the continental breakfast they offer: in addition to yogurt, cereal, waffles and other pastries, they had a daily selection of Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. (Maybe not a fine breakfast buffet, but not too bad for complimentary at a hotel of this caliber.) Zach, Anderson and 1 of the ladies working the main front desk (missed her name) were all fantastic: we needed for nothing. Hotel had no issues accommodating our requests for additional pillows and replacing towels and emptying trash at our convenience when we declined traditional housekeeping services. Service was always speedy and with a smile. Someone offered us bottled water (visited during a big heat wave) almost every time we entered the hotel. Staff offered to call us a taxi when we were discussing plans for the day. (Side note on that one: use Lyft or Uber: some of the cabs will try to scam you badly.) Room was clean ang comfortable. We were on the 6th floor and even with the blackout blinds closed all day, we couldn’t get the room temp below 71.5°. Totally fine for the day but would’ve liked a little cooler at night (although we slept soundly in the comfortable bedding, including our child in the sofa bed.) Room was more spacious than we expected even with the sofa bed extended for the duration of our stay. Room doesn’t have a microwave, but a communal one was available.

Very clean and great location. No real lobby so didn’t have a vibe. No snacks at happy hour—only beer and wine. Not welcoming for families.

We had a fabulous stay. We were amazed by the view from the moment we opened the door. Our room was beautiful, the view was breathtaking, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had fun meeting other guests at the reception in the evening, and at breakfast in the morning. They put a lot of care and thought into all the details of the room, from the soft robes & linens, to the city map wallpaper behind the bed, and the booklet about Mr. Kenzie. I will recommend the Kinzie Hotel to all my friends and family.

The front desk were always friendly with us. The breakfast was great. The hotel and rooms are very clean & well maintained. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Kenzie hotel. Valet parking was like $70. But if you prefer you can always look around and find something cheaper. They do also offer free vip drinks from 5-7pm I think it was 1 or 2. Can’t really remember.

Excellent value. Cant get a better location, in the middle of downtown, close to everything. Breakfast could have been better. Perfext for a family of 4.
