Kimpton Gray Hotel, an IHG Hotel

We love the hospitality from Kimpton hotels. Especially for our fur babies. My only advice for dog parents that are booking for The Kimpton The Gray Chicago location, you have to be aware that it’s a concrete jungle and there a minimal grass spaces for your pet to relieve themselves in the financial district. We did find some small mulch patches beside the Northern Trust building. Don’t even bother taking them to Millenium Park (The Bean), no dogs allowed which is so strange. Otherwise, the hotel, the service, and the amenities were fantastic! If you love your fur babies like your real babies, The Kimpton is the place to stay with your family.

Beautiful architecture and design, very friendly and thoughtful staff (they even thought to put a small kid tent in our room after seeing we arrived with a kid). Front desk staff named Vesna was particularly wonderful.

This is the second time we have stayed here since April (once without kids, this time with). We love the lobby / lounge area - even had board games & UNO for us to play in the evenings. The staff was SO KIND to send a microwave up to our room so we could make popcorn. You need it - they've got it. Including room umbrellas for those days when suddenly the forecast goes from sun to rain. Can't wait to be back.

Well maintained historic hotel with modern updates downtown for a good value. Will stay at again. Walking distance to Willis’s tower and transit. A little hike to the parks and waterfront attractions. Excellent dinner, rooftop bar and breakfast restaurants onsite. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modernized. Although I would not classify this as a young family oriented hotel, they offered the necessary accommodations to make our stay possible with pack and plays etc. I recommend this hotel and stay at again.

Wish they had affordable on-site parking but otherwise low key beautiful spot. Accommodated myself and both children for the night
