SpringHill Suites by Marriott Rexburg

It is a lovely hotel. Well kept and updated decor. Suite with sofa bed was spacious. Good choice for our family of five. Great staff.

The hotel was conveniently located and my kids had a great time. The breakfast was great and we didn’t need to worry about anything.

This place was like an oasis after a series of less than dazzling stays at other hotels. My children and I are now Springhill suites fans!

This is the second time we have stayed at this location. The first time the maids had not serviced the room and there were children’s underwear in the drawers. This time the halls were dirty, the elevators were dirty, the room smelt like someone had reheated food in the microwave, the room was in generally poor condition, the handle to the bathroom door was broken off and laying in the window seal, the toilet flush sounded like a space shuttle taking off, in general very poor for a Marriott.

We always stay in Marriott properties but this was our first time at the Springhill Rexburg. The staff were friendly and polite, but when we got to our room it reeked of wet and musty carpets. We found out they were wet, the fans didn’t work and the window had no screens. When we asked the desk for help we were told they were completely booked and we would get used to the smell. We tried to open the window despite no screens, the blinds were broken so it wouldn’t work, and the garbage can in our “new” room was full of garbage so we couldn’t pro open with that. After 3 trips to the desk, they finally found another room and moved us. It still smelled badly, but it was so late by then we opened the window and put the kids to bed. Still no screens on the windows. I know things happen, but for the price this shouldn’t be a Marriott/Springhill but more along a Super 8. We won’t be returning.

No maid-room service at all - our trash was not emptied, no towels were changed and we made our own bed each day because no one bothered to check to see if there was any cares needed to be addressed during our three day stay. We were given two partial rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom on the wall dispenser and no one even looked to see if more was needed. For the money -this was awful service. Then, not only were the continental breakfast choices not kept up with by staff but there were the crowds of people continually pouring into the small area creating chaos. To add to the frustration, the hot sandwich choices were over steamed or microwaved and were too tough in the middle too eat after we waited for over an hour for one. There was no system to get the food and people and their kids who were just showing up dashed in front of those who had waited longest to snatch up all of many of the food that was slowly getting restocked It was a mess and an awful way to start the days off!

My family felt very comfortable. It was a nice stay.
