Hilton Garden Inn Idaho Falls

Loved the back area by the river. We were there to meet family for a funeral and we had a mini family reunion in the back sitting by the fire. The rooms were also comfortable, and enjoyed the balcony.

Beautiful views and a convenient location! We did not have breakfast while we stayed but were pleased to see it was even available on Christmas Day. The staff was pleasant, and the snack bar was nice, however, it would be nice to have prices labeled. (And free water in the room regardless of rewards level.) My two biggest cons were, we paid for a room with a balcony and river view but unfortunately were not able to access the balcony due to thick ice blocking the door from opening. I understand weather happens, I grew up in the snow, but this could also be a safety hazard if we would've needed to exit the building via the balcony in an emergency. Secondly, the room was not as clean as I had hoped. There was a random feather in our bathroom when we first entered our room, hair in the shower drain, grime on the front of the bathroom vanity, and random dust/cobwebs along the ceiling. Luckily, we didn't spend much time in the room, it was a place to sleep while spending Christmas with family. I also did not bring this up to the front desk while we were there, as I wanted to bother them little as possible over Christmas weekend.

Really great location with beautiful view of the river. Overall, property is nice. Staff is friendly and helped us quick when our fridge wasn’t working. Biggest downside was the expensive pet fee, $75… I have stayed at much nicer places with cheaper pet fees. $75 is almost as much as the whole room was worth lol and our dog is well trained, less messy than a kid. Maybe the fee is large to deter people from bringing their animals but something to consider when booking here if you weren’t expecting it.

If you are planning on attending this hotel with children, don't bother. The hotel's service was not accommodating to us at all. In fact, personally called me in my room within one hour of arriving to tell me the pool was for immediate family members use only. The hotel patrons were no better. Every time we entered or left, people would give us sneers and nasty looks. This was suppose to be a special event for my twelve year old daughter, and all they provided was added undue stress. I have already recommended people to not stay here, nor will I spend another evening with them.
