I'm an easy man to please. Reading some of the other complaints, most were about dingy rooms and lack of advertised services. I don't have a problem with that. I thought the room was okay, in a spartan kind of way. The price was pretty steep but the location of the hotel to River Street would explain that. My issue was it's location to the parking garage next door. I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night. On both nights I was awakened to revelers at 2am in the garage. Savannah is a partying town, I get that. But your hotel room should be an oasis from that. Apparently the garage is a favorite party spot. No doubt because of the echo factor it has that is only rivaled by Mammoth Cave. I was awakened both nights but Saturday was the worst. On Saturday at 2am, I woke up to people laughing and carrying on. I figured that they would make their way to their cars and drive away, wrong!! The cacophony of their partying only got worse. It became obvious that they were doing there very best to be as obnoxious as humanly possible. This included screaming and blowing their car horns till after 4 in the morning. These weren't kids by the way. You could tell by the tenor of their voices that these were adults, and I use that term loosely. I feel bad for the hotel. I suspect that they have to put up with this on a regular basis. For you travelers, I would suggest that you stay well clear of this hotel, especially on the weekends.

Very clean and quiet Inn. Very reasonable rate for downtown Savannah, Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Great location, close to everything.

Planters Inn is perfect for a vacation or night on the town. Location is great with just a short walk (few blocks) to River Street or over to other restaurants. However, I would not recommend for families or business travel. I was on business in Savannah with two coworkers; none of our rooms has refrigerators or microwaves and the valet parking was available 7a-11p. There also is no complimentary breakfast served on site. For all of these reasons, I do not plan to stay here for business travel in the future but will recommend to anyone looking for a “getaway” spot!

The location is great unfortunately it is right next to a parking garage that had kids car racing and gunning their engines for several hours. We were woken up at midnight,1am,2am,and 3:30am so never got a nights rest our entire stay! We had to request everything, including a bar of soap and extra coffee as there were two of us. They do have coffee in the lobby so I was fortunate that my friend didn’t mind running down every morning!

The hotel was in an amazing location. Our floor had a very strange odor, which was explained as gas coming from outside the hotel. There is a parking garage right next door that was extremely loud. People were partying, playing loud music, and squealing tires until midnight. Understanding this is not the hotel's fault, this was the only bad thing about the location. The price comparison with other hotels in the area that offer full services such as vending/beverages/full service food seems high. My friend and I stayed here, but I would not recommend this hotel for children. There were very few amenities, and our room was small. Unfortunately, the beautiful park immediately across the street had every bench covered with the homeless. As I was sitting out front waiting on my friend several passers by commented that they would avoid the area due to the volume of homeless.

Great location friendly staff dirty room. Maybe i got there to early but they made my room a look around the floor by the tv my child found pills possibly prescription drugs i dont know was not happy with that. I hate samsung free tv i rather have cable tv with the hotel surrounding area info channel. My window had tape on it to hold the glass together. Woke up in middle of night people were yelling outside. The location is what sells this i was able to walk just about everywhere. Again this hotel is historic boutique staff was great
