We had an amazing time and the staff was quick to help whenever we had a question or request. We had a sick child while staying there and the front desk was amazing at helping us to find somewhere that was 24 hours that might be able to provide medicine. I can't say enough about how helpful the front desk staff was with us during our stay. The only complaint I might have was that at the time of check in there was still sand on the bathroom floor and we found a hairbrush that was left by the chair that the cleaning crew missed. I would absolutely stay again if I am in the area.

Beach access was great. Heated pool was pretty good for March. No bathroom for the pool and we were on the third floor so that was unhandy for the kids. Room was sufficient. Bed and bathroom seemed clean but room itself……. Not so much. Area felt safe. Able to walk to a few things. No food friendly restaurants for children nearby

What a lil gem by the ocean. Nice and clean. Continental breakfast included and different types of rooms to choose from. Great place for a couple or family. Right on the beach

The hotel is right on the beach. Very convenient if you have kids. The pool is heated and decent size. The rooms were comfortable and parking was free. TV has every channel available. Our room was wheelchair accessible.

It nice but expensive for what you get. I probably will save money and stay closer to the pier. A redneck family with idiot kids took up the entire pool and caused an issue when asked to make space. Not the properties fault but left a bad taste in my mouth for the money spent. Staff was very nice.

The property was really pretty, and it was lovely to have the walkway straight to the beach, but it rained while we were there. When we went to check-in, there was only 1 staff member at the desk and there were 3 couples ahead of me waiting. Also, an elderly man whose room was just off of the check-in/reception area, kept coming out to complain about various things in his room, thereby further slowing check-in down. Once it was finally our turn to check-in, we were recommended to eat at a Restuarant next to the DeSoto, which would have been a huge plus, if the place next door wasn't closed for construction, which it appears to have been for some time as there were trenches dug on that property and heavy equipment machines were parked there. So essentially, that wasn't helpful. We wound up driving further into town to grab some burgers. The time while we stayed, small children ran up and down the long walkway 1 floor above us, and another couple could be heard loudly having a conversation until the wee hours of the night, so needless to say, it was not exactly a restful night.

The DeSoto Beach Hotel is an older hotel, so I was worried a bit until we were there. The grounds are kept well, the rooms are very clean and most importantly, comfortable, Our grandchildren loved the pool. The beach was great, too. My family and I enjoyed very much the short stay 3 days and 2 nights. We plan to return.

The staff was friendly and the room was great! Very comfortable bed, lots of nice fluffy pillows (and one slightly flat pillow for my sister), soft and clean towels. The breakfast was minimal. We only ate it once because there just weren't many choices and it was mostly processed carb heavy. If you are staying on Tybee to do things be aware that it cost $4 to park everywhere! They say $2/hour but you have to pay for two hours at a time :( LOVED the Tybee Island Marine Science Center! It's tiny but well worth the $5. If you have kids it's definitely a must see.

Hotel was ok. It is in need of updates. Similar to a 1980s hotel room and not quite what the pictures indicated but our room was clean although our families other room which was a suite was not and did not have any way to plug anything in or charge anything in the bedrooms only in the kitchen area. Location and beach is great. Overall, mediocre hotel but great location but I not sure I would go back especially for the price they charge.

We were at the second floor. At 11pm we noticed a cockroach walking down the wall next to the TV.
The room was a little dirty.
We also feel we disturbe them if we talk to them, like a family-operated business that doesnt care about customers.
The pictures are way out-dated. They show pictures of the first building and the second building looks like a project (elevator, etc).
Ah yes and at 11h07 they called and knocked the door and said "checkout is 11am, you have to leave". Unpolite people.
3 stars place ??? LooL in your dream !!
