Wonderful place to stay for a great price! The staff were all very friendly, the daily breakfast is hot and plentiful(something a little different everyday), the outside of the building appears to be older but the rooms are updated and well maintained. Very spacious rooms and bathroom. It’s nice to have a full size refrigerator when on vacation, comes with a stocked kitchenette with a dishwasher. Beds are comfortable, balcony was nice to sit out on and read a book. The pool was very cold(to be expected at the end of March) but that didn’t stop the kids from getting in. I saw staff cleaning and tending to the pool every morning. Nice little workout room. Elevator was a little wonky in building A, sometimes wouldn’t come up when pushing the button. No biggie for us as we were only on the 2nd floor but could be for some people. I would definitely stay here again!!

My adult daughter and I were in South Carolina to visit family, and headed south from NJ without any reservations. I checked with Kayak, read positive reviews, and decided this was The Place for 2 weeknights of our travels. It did not disappoint at all! I loved the idea of free self-parking, having a balcony (which I didn't get to use, unfortunately), having a full kitchen, having a full "condo", free daily breakfast, and close to everything I wanted to be nearby, especially Coligny Beach and the shopping plaza. Staff was lovely, the pool was still open (we missed that, too), the small gym had enough to please (although, it was missing a mirror, if I remember correctly). The ONE major complaint I had was the 2nd elevator in Bldg B - the one closest to our room was out of service, something I read previous to my travels, so it wasn't a new issue. That elevator being out led to a half hour of loading our stuff in - grabbing a cart, moving the car, walking the long hallway - not my favorite time. Also, the only ice machine was on the 1st floor - not the most convenient thing when you're on the 3rd/top floor. But, all in all, our stay here was awesome, and I was already planning next year's visit. It is a hidden gem, as someone else mentioned.

My husband and I enjoyed our five night stay. Everything was clean and everyone was very nice. However, the only two complaints were there was never anyone at the front desk-we always had to yell hello, actually we saw a lot of people had to do that just not us. Also there should be a sign children not allowed in hot tub, and that kids need to have a swim diaper. You could see diapers full and they were still in the pool which was a real turnoff.

The property is located in a very convenient area near several shopping centers so you can drive or walk to get what you need during your stay. The staff was helpful, breakfast was good and it felt like a safe area. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this Inn to friends and family.

We only stayed one night, our on way to Myrtle Beach, but wished we had stayed longer! Room was very spacious, bright, & clean. Nice breakfast. Lovely pool area - secluded, nicely landscaped. Only complaint was that we had planned to spend our morning by the pool before checking out, but it was noisy with the gardening staff cutting grass and trimming trees/shrubs, then as soon as they finished, the pool had to be treated and the kids could not use it. We had to squeeze in a quick swim for the 25 minutes before check out, then make a mad dash to get changed and vacate the room. I know this has to be done at some point, but we were disappointed that we could not enjoy the pool for a couple of hours. Otherwise, enjoyed the hotel, and would stay again.

Property is conveniently located near shops, restaurants and more importantly beautiful beaches. Property offers free on-site parking as well as free breakfast which is always a plus. Palmera Inn is a super cute, clean and very affordable hotel. I travel a lot with my kids and the option of having full kitchen in the room is fantastic. Last but not least, the staff at Plamera Inn is super friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely visit again.

Only stayed one night with my family, but it was good. Surrounding area and beach is beautiful. Just a 3 min drive to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable. I’m not a fan of the barn door with no lock on the bathroom. My 1 yr old kept opening the bathroom door when someone was in it. And elevator was being repaired which sounded like a full blown construction site right outside our door at 8:30 in the morning.

So check in was a breeze, it was a family trip and some had gotten there before us. I informed them of family and they put us close with no problem. The ladies at the front desk was more then nice. The room was beyond perfect, we had the loft, which was perfect for my family. We did have a issue with the downstairs shower. I called front desk, it was fixed immediately. The only problem. which was not the properties fault. The ppl next to us was beating the mess out of a kid and saying stuff very inappropriate. The sheriff ended up coming and took care of the situation. I will say when it's dark,it's dark in the area.

The rooms were nice and spacious. Very pretty. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom doors are barn doors and they leave a small opening with a direct view into the shower. That was something we had to carefully navigate as a family! Sound travels greatly in this hotel. More than I’ve ever experienced. We could hear the people above and next door and were awakened both mornings by the radios of the housekeepers. Balconies are small and narrow but better than no balcony! The pool was small and crowded so we did not use it.
