Stay was really good , would have been great if not for dogs on all the floors , barking all night ,on most nights. Hotel said only dogs on first floor but that was not the case.
Adult hot tub and pool had kids in it constantly, rules need to be enforced to make it more enjoyable

Ou stay was great. The grandkids enjoyed it. Restaurant staff very attentive. The gentleman at check-in could have been a little more cordial. He needs an attitude adjustment. The hotel valet was great, but because he was assisting another guess had to wait quite awhile so I parked the car myself. You need a second valet on duty. The common areas and rooms seemed spotless. My grandchildren was to go back.

Absolutely fantastic! Perfect end to a family vacation on Hilton Island. 2 days to relax after a week with our family at Sea Pines. Everything was perfect. A little beach time and some pool time, great food and drinks by the pool. It doesn’t get any better.

Sonesta was very nice. Super close to the beach and nicely decorated.
Cons:
-online advertised me having a $44.40 (resort fee $37, destination fee $3, and fees $4.40)charged in person fee well the resort rounded it up to $50 with no real reason.
-Walls thinner than their 1ply toilet paper, you will hear everything your neighbors do. Kept us up all night because kids were next door screaming on the balcony. With lack of sleep and a big drive ahead of us resort refused to give us an additional hour for check out.
-Parking required you to have a temporary placard in your car….they literally know how many spaces they have and they still managed to have no parking for all paying guest. Front desk allows you to park in Valet spots if lot is full tho.

Carli was an amazing staff member on this property but aside from her do not expect any southern hospitality from staff. We arrived when it was light out and everything was closed including the pool. I was hungry my entire stay. There are not 5 restaurants on this resort, no room service, not even a vending machine. I inquired at the front desk about a vending machine since there was no food available on the property and no easy access to food. The front desk informed me they had some snacks behind the counter. We went down to grab a couple of bags of mini goldfish crackers and he proceeded to say “these aren’t free”! Of course they aren’t! Why would a cracker be included in a “resort fee” when there’s zero food available and it’s still light outside. Very dirty bathrooms and we had to switch rooms due to long clumps of hair in shower to be moved to a room with more clumps of hair in the shower. Nice access to a beautiful beach and the attempt at kids activities is nice but could use some better organization. Activities are posted for kids at certain times. S’mores at the fire pit was posted for 8pm and when we went down at 8:21 it was over. The prices of the food and drinks available during the day are higher than prices of a real luxury resort which this is not. We enjoyed our time but spent an absurd amount of money (vacationing from Boston in Hawaii would have been cheaper) did not get what we were told we would on the site. Not worth it for the prices and no hospitality.

It’s a great hotel option on the island for families. Affordable and recently renovated make it an attractive option.

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were spacious, beds so comfortable, showers also great and nice to have a balcony. The restaurant and bar were fantastic along with the gift shop where I purchased some items.
The drawback was the pool bar and bar down towards beach closed so early especially during a holiday week. The only other drawback was that there were so many kids running around and our room was at the ice machine and elevator so lots of noise while we were on a couples vacation. I wish the fact that our reservation showed we were a couple no kids would have had us in a more private location

Left within a hour of checking in.
1)Can not understand front desk.
2)Never been told that you can NOT do so many things at a hotel before.
3) loud lobby, kids crying & screaming can hear on room
Hope hotel enjoys the money that was given for hotel that was not stayed in. Whatever helps them sleep at night.

Paying close to $500 for one night, I am expecting the hotel to be a bit more luxurious but the overall facilities look outdated, rooms are updated with the exception of a decent shower (bathtub only); Pool was almost unusable with 200 screaming kids in there; the Spa service was good but the Spa facility looks quite average. Beach service non-existent and you have to pay for chairs etc.
