Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol – University

There is limited parking and when I complained to mgmt that how were they charging me for a family parking fee that I couldn’t use, I was sent to an ancillary parking in the grass with no lighting.

Clean, new, comfortable hotel. The suites are very spacious for a family! Nice stand up shower and good breakfast!

My husband and I witnessed the lady at the bar deny my teenage children water and was very rude to them and other guests. The ice machine was not working. Our key and the air conditioner did not work properly.The pull out bed was not changed and dirty. This hotel is a farther walk from Florida State University than advertised.

Abandoned buildings around property. weed store across from our room. artistic area were murals on abandoned buildings. No real good DINING since FSU surrounds a lot of the city it’s more subs, pizza, sandwiches, college kids food

Overall my worst Hyatt experience. At first greeted warmly but room was not ready 30 mins before check in, which is understandable. Came back 2 hours after check in and the room was still not ready yet. The client associate, Tighe, was cold and disinterested to ensure I had a quality check in experience. I was told the hotel was short staffed and could not have the room ready. Additionally, 1 elevator was broken and my room once ready did not have a clean smell. The breakfast was not very good the first day. Upon checking out at 6:15am for an early flight I asked if I could grab a banana or cereal from breakfast and was refused by the same staff member, being told breakfast is not available until 6:30. Left with a cup of coffee and a memory to always avoid this hotel when visiting my child at FSU.

Great location for activities FSU. Enjoyed use of pool & fitness center. Breakfast a win for entire family.

The 2 queen suite was great for our family of 4. Lots of space to stretch out. Pull out couch was not comfortable, so teenager slept on the couch instead. Loved the eco friendly shampoo/conditioner/soap shower dispensers. Great property.

This location is on the campus of Florida State and perfect for college and family that is traveling. We had no issues the breakfast was very fulfilling. The rooms are spacious and there are restaurants in the area not to far from the hotel. Parking is not free and was $40 a night. There is a laundry area and pool on the outside something fun for the kids.

Great for family. The room was clean.
