DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tallahassee

This was one of the worst stays our family has ever had at a hotel. Graduation weekend for FSU and they could not have been more unprepared. Rooms/hotel outdated!! I think it is odd you have to call and request your room to be cleaned at a Hilton Hotel number one. Number two...they did come into our room, not to clean it, but took all of our towels and did not replenish!!!! If you tried to call housekeeping, you received their voicemail, over and over with no call back. We went down to lobby and they had a bin with towels they were handing out..weird!!! No water in the entire hotel!!! On Saturday, they had a few cases of water behind the front desk, but ran out and simply told us there was no water. When they came in our room to take our towels, nothing was cleaned or replenished, obviously. No coffee, tea. There is a coffee shop in the lobby for purchase and the barista acted MISERABLE to be working!!! I mean miserable!!! Horrible, horrible hotel. We will never ever be back to a Double Tree anywhere, or a Hilton if we can help it. BTW, I think we paid almost $600 a night due to graduation. I will say the valet guys were awesome!

Was quiet when we arrived Friday around 4PM, but traffic picks up during the evening. When we arrived, parking was confusing but the young man at the vallet podium was helpful in providing the different options for parking. Once parked, Sam was super kind at check-in and helpful in providing an excellent dining option within walking distance. We went twice. Enjoyed our stay as far as our service and of course the cookies! The guest were a bit rowdy...kids running in the hall, a birthday party next door, prom... Glad I was too tired to lose sleep.

The room was dirty and musty. Our family left a night early because of the air quality and dirtiness.

We stayed and we pay for a deluxe room, they oversold the rooms and we stayed in a regular room. We hear people screaming ALL NIGHT LONG, hitting the doors and kids cried all night. We couldn’t sleep. The costumer service was despicable.

Our room wasn’t ready until 11:15 PM. Cleaning staff is severely understaffed. We waited with multiple other families. The place was clean and comfy and the front desk people were very nice and apologetic about the wait, but at 11:15 there shouldn’t be a wait for your room.

We were told that the computers were down and they had run out of rooms with two beds in it which is what we booked. They offered us two single bed rooms on two different floors (traveling with kids so this is very inconvenient). Then the front desk gave us room keys for rooms that already had people in them! TWICE! Then at midnight someone came into our room with a key. Then at 3am the fire alarm went off in the whole hotel. Complete chaos!

I had another concept of these hotels, the attention to the confusing entrance check, the room lacks repair, the toilet was covered, the bathroom door was broken, room 810 at breakfast, which we paid for, they treated us with such a sour face and a rude and unpleasant attitude and also Confused, they made me go to the front of the hotel to ask for the breakfast pass and they didn't know anything either. It took more than half an hour to just be able to sit down for breakfast. My family and I were very disappointed.

This was a big waste of my hard earned money. I book two nights. But my room was so dirty, I refused to stay there and booked another hotel and walked there. I had a late flight into Tallahassee so I didn’t get to the hotel until 1:00a and all I wanted to do was get some sleep after having a long flight. When I woke up I seen just how dirty the room was. Coffee station had used coffee pods in it and was very dirty. The sugars had old coffee stains and the counter/ desk top wasn’t wiped off. The shower dirty and had dirt on walls and floor plus hair in the corner of the shower. The bathroom faucet wasn’t wiped off and there was purple liquid stains on the white closet door. Not to mention the shower head was full of water corrosion. Things was so bad I booked a new hotel and walked to it. Before leaving I wanted to make a complaint with the manager but there was a family already there complaining about their horrible experience and was told that management will not be in until Monday so I just left. chalked up

This hotel is creepingly decorated, I felt like I was at a gothic church at times. Room was clean, but small for a family of four. The bathroom is very small and the ceiling is low, tall people should have hard time in it. This place needs some renovations asap. Hotel staff was friendly, though.

Overall, a really nice stay. The location is great. We were able to walk to the Capital buildings, FSU, and restaurants. There was even a farmers' market one day in the park across the street from the hotel. Our room was neat and clean. We had a room on a higher floor and the view was great. We would stay here again. Only negatives would be that we found the parking fee to be a bit high and when they say check in is at 3, they mean it. Your room will not be ready before that. We even saw other families having to wait until 6 or 7pm before their rooms were ready.
