Home2 Suites by Hilton Tallahassee State Capitol

The power went out on the first night (power line was hit or something). An elderly man was stuck in the elevator in the dark and most residents were sitting outside for hours due to the heat with no power or a/c. Power was restored in the middle of the night after sweating through sleep. No apologies from the staff. Then the cable went out on the third night so we had no TV for hours. Again, no apologies from the staff. The least you could have done was credit everyone for one night on their bill for the inconvenience but of course that's not going to happen. Used this hotel because we had to drop my child off to college. I do not plan to stay here again.

I really liked the kitchenette, even though I was only there for a short while and didn’t have occasion to use it. I could see that for slightly longer stays or with family, it would have been great to have.

I usually try to book hotel stays at Home2 Suites before looking elsewhere, because it’s always a clean and comfortable stay for my young family. However, this experience was truly awful. We arrived at nearly 6 PM to find our room was not ready, though check-in is at 3 PM. We had to wait about 15 minutes. We ran up to the room, dropped off our things, and ran back out to a dinner we had planned. When we arrived late that evening, we discovered that most of the lights in the room did not work. The phone also did not work, so we couldn’t even call the front desk. We just wanted to get our tired kiddos to bed, so we brushed it off and put them to bed… only to be horrified by the number of roaches we encountered throughout the night. I understand the hotel is going through renovations, but to have seven roaches in our room in one night seems like an infestation to me. When we brought up the issues at the front desk the next morning, the staff member simply said he was sorry to hear it. No other gesture of good will to make it right. I’m extremely disappointed in Home2 Suites because of this experience and I may have to reconsider using them in the future.

Everything was great. A full refrigerator and beds for 6. This is the perfect place for a family of 6 to stay!! This location had several different food options to choose from in the same parking lot so no need to drive to dinner, which is a great plus.

The hotel is very nice and in a really great area, there were plenty of restaurant options, we were literally close to everything and less than 10min from both Universities. Our room was very clean and we'll stocked, nice and spacious and everyone was comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we encountered one evening staff member that was a little rude, but nothing a few kind words couldn't fix. All in all my family and I really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to visit again soon😁
