Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Beach

Overall we wore happy about stay, but Room 737 had bed bugs in it on the coach sofa., my child got bitten pretty badly…

This property is amazing for families! The beach is close and there is a ton of restaurants and shopping places around! It also includes breakfast which was very convenient. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was really nice and clean. The hotel staff was friendly. It's a nice place to stay and it's family-friendly. The pool is great and has a nice view of the ocean. It's very close to the beach, as well. The breakfast buffet can have a greater variety, but it is complementary! Overall, I had a really pleasant stay!

Like others have said, there is a loud bar under the hotel which makes it hard to sleep. I knew this when booking as I read reviews and figured out family would be ok…but it was a lot louder than I imagined it would be. My husband & I slept ok—the kids took a long time to get to sleep. I def wouldn’t stay here if you need quiet to sleep. Apart from that, the hotel is very clean, spacious & the breakfast was amazing. I loved that they even had cold brew coffee along with the normal. We would prob stay here when it’s not spring break time—so possibly a little quieter as it wasn’t just the music that was loud but also the screaming drunk people lol.

The hotel location is very close to the beach. The hot breakfast was excellent with lots of options for children. The only reason for 4 star review is that there is a restaurant right below with open air section and live entertainment which is quite noisy till late hours, not ideal when you are trying to get some sleep, especially for families with young children.

Very good space for families with the kitchens. Also, very convenient location to all the shopping , restaurants, and beach.

Some things you need to know - the suite rooms (the two bed ones with the sofas & kitchens) are big but scruffy round the edges. The air con (at least ours and next doors) is ridiculously loud. The rooms that families are likely to be in are all situated facing the beach side…nice right? No. They also sit right above a bar. A noisy, live music, singing and whooping bar. The noise is so loud you can’t hear the TV properly. It goes on until midnight week nights and 3am weekends. So between the AC and the bar and melting in the heat there was no sleep had…and that’s before I start on the barking dog a few rooms along. Breakfast was alright but be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a seat to eat. Ridiculously busy. Staff were nice…except one who was having an off day…maybe she hadn’t slept either. Book somewhere else would be my advice.
