Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach

Went for a weekend getaway with the family. Promptly greeted by valet upon arrival. Asked them to plug in my EV which they did without reminder. Check-in was easy. Even had welcome drinks available. Hotel is spacious, clean and very well situated. Beach is across the street with beach chairs and umbrella part of the resort fee. Pool service was very good. Gratuities are already included so be conscious of that when checking out. You can walk pretty much anywhere or take an Uber for less than $10 if weather or humidity not cooperating. We had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Clearwater Beach.

We always choose this hotel every year to celebrate our anniversary and always have a great experience except for this last stay. Everything was great besides an employee at the pool area named Franklin. Our first 3 days we took a small cooler and Franklin cane ovwr very rude stating no coolers, we explained its just water to stay hydrated bc we are from the north and not used to the heat, and we have been buying all our drinks from the hotel pool bar, which he could see. He still said the cooler had to be out of sight. So we put it under all our stuff and never went back to it. Not even 20 minutes later he is DIGGING thru our personal stuff and touching our belongings and took our cooler of water! After to talking to others in the pool, he did the same to them, and a lot of families had their baby formula and kids juices in their coolers and were also purchasing the other drinks from the bar! The bar didnt serve kid friendly items. After this we decided we were done with the pool and done buying drinks there as well. We avoided the pool the rest of our stay and will not be returning to that hotel for our future anniversary trips. Our waitress Kadie was awesome though! She stated Franklin was just a towel boy and had no right to do any of the things he was doing. We also witnessed him taking umbrellas from people to give to other people. Completely rude!

Great place for a family trip or a couple getaway. Great setup with lounge across for the beach. Highly recommend!

Perfect family place

We stayed 4 days here. As a previous GM of a hotel, I found this hotel to be very well run. All staff from FD to HK to restaurants were amazing. Food was delicious too. Area is very nice and kid friendly. However, There is one staff member, that left a bad taste for us at the bar in the pool. Seemed like she was being bothered, if someone approached her for a drink. We addressed it at the FD and I believe the F&B director was informed ( or I’d hope she was). One bad Apple, can ruin the flow of the team and your guests experience. I rated the hotel as a whole, not based on the staff member. Hope the F&B director or GM works this through with the member ( although, based on some comments we heard, seemed like , she’s been talked to before, but nothing changed. Some people aren’t meant to be the face of the hotel. PS- I was hoping that the F&B director came by and addressed the concern ( as we were told, she may pass by)- I didn’t want to write about the staff, and wanted to give it a chance… Hope this helps to continue the great work.

Hotel was very nice and clean, our kids loved the pool, and we loved being right in the center of everything and being able to walk everywhere. We will def be back!

I loved the location it was central to pretty much everything, including the clearwater beach, shopping and restraunts. The pool area was fabulous. Over looked the ocean, had music playing during the day and in the evening it was quiet and relaxing. Had a bar/restraunt right along side the pool, easy to get drinks and order a small meal. The hotel was kid frendly, everyone was polite and helpful. Will be going back for sure.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at the Wyndham Grand! It was our 10th wedding anniversary and the hotel treated us to a free upgrade to a beautiful gulf view room. The amenities were great and although the weather was good, we LOVED the heated pool. My daughter could not get enough of it! The beach is also beautiful and having 2 chairs and umbrella included in the resort fee made everything easier. We will definitely come back to this hotel for another relaxing vacation!

Overall a beautiful property. Rooms were spacious and balcony views were good. Consider more and different activities for families and less club music at the pool.

My family and I booked this hotel for our first visit to Clearwater, Florida and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It’s absolutely stunning. We literally felt like we were on an island resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was super clean from our room to the pool to the gym. We arrived well before it was time to check in so they accomodated by allowing us to hang out at the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. We selected the hotel room with the king bed and twin bunk bed. It was a perfect size for us. It offered views of the pool and beach from the balcony. The food and drinks poolside were tasty. I loved that instead of having a traditional room key, we were given key bracelets to wear, so we were less likely to lose them. We rented a car and valeted. We were able to get in and out of the hotel with ease; the valet staff is super efficient. Overall, our stay was amazing. My only suggestions are that the tables next to the lounge chairs could use a good power wash or be replaced all together. Lastly, the shower water temps in the hotel room didn’t get as hot as what I’m used to. Other than that, it was a fabulous and relaxing time! This is definitely my go to resort anytime I’m visiting Clearwater! Thank you for making this a memorable vacation!
