Pelican Pointe Hotel by Sunsational Beach Rentals

A clean, tidy room in an older complex. Staff were very kind and friendly. Room had everything we needed. A little dated but the location makes up for that. Pool area is great for the kids and quite literally 1 minute to the beach.

Arrived when dark. When pulling up noticed the hotel looked run down it was surrounded by building work. When we proceeded to check in there was Note on reception door to say taken an unpaid break and will return in half hour. We had to stand outside with our luggage until staff returned. There was no security gate to motel so anyone could walk through the grounds upto the rooms . On entering the rooms they were run down . There was an internal door boarded up with celotex and a party going on in the room next door and people trying the door handle. Having small children this was completely unacceptable so checked straight out to be informed property will not offer a refund and after speaking to hotel.com they will not provide a refund for the room either . Really poor service from Both the hotel and hotels.com will Not look to book through these again.

Got an email 2 days before our planned vacation that the pool was going to be closed our whole entire stay. We have a kid that loves the water i asked if we could transfer hotels , the General Manager was amazing got us moved to one of their other hotels super fast! Hotel is very clean and staff goes above and beyond!

Nice clean room, friendly staff, close walking distance to the beach. Very family oriented, there was a basket with a family game in the room, there was also a chair lift by the pool for someone with special needs to be able to enjoy the pool. I thought this was very thoughtful. The building was under construction that I didn’t know about but understandable for improvement. Parking was a bit tight for late night arrival. I would definitely stay here again.

Front desk help was very freindly, maintenance was too. The room while showing some age was well appointed and clean, pool was great for the kids. When leaving the parking under the back rooms had water running out of the plastered ceiling.

Perfect hotel for what we needed. We are a family of five and needed at least three beds in a clean room. It was literally a 2-minute walk to a public beach and there were restaurants everywhere.

Save Money on Parking! Great value when traveling with with kids. Beach parking in area cost $20 a day. Staying overnight saves you on two days of parking fees. Along with the free parking, save on meals. Marina restaurants can be pricey, especially when buying food for children, who might not like the wait or adult atmosphere. Each room here has a small kitchen. There are three grocery stores in less than two miles. Microwave mac and cheese, have popsicles, and enjoy the pool and the beach across the street. The hotel has an abundance of pool toys and sand toys to borrow. Your kiddos might enjoy the trolley which is five dollars all day for adults and free for children, the playground at Pier 60, the dolphin aquarium, and the kid's pirate cruise. Ice cream shop next door. Lots to do for families. Safe. Clean. Again, safe and free parking. We are Floridians. We take mini-vacations here each year! Enjoy!

Greatest weekend ever !perfect location for your needs and a family atmosphere that you can’t find on tourist Clearwater.

I have to say that I was absolutely thrilled with our room at Pelican Pointe Hotel & Resort! We loved the place and all of our local family visited our room and then we went next door to Crabby's Bar & Grill. We ate breakfast at two other restaurants but Crabby's was the BEST! We will stay at the Pelican Pointe Hotel 🏨 on our next visit to Clearwater beach ⛱️
