Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Moorpark Ventura County

The hotel is so discreet you might not even think it's a hotel at first; but it's clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and conveniently located for any sight-seeing in the area. I was visiting family in Thousand Oaks, just 7 minutes away. I was worried there might be freeway noise because it's close to Hwy 23, but once inside, I couldn't hear ANY road noise. And the breakfast is phenomenal. I'll definitely stay here again-- much better than my experience with hotels near 101.

Our first night the staff was trying to figure out why our shower was only running cold water. They took over 3hrs and finally said “oops someone put the hot/cold sign on backwards. We lost our whole evening. We had diner planes that we missed. It was such a waist of our day. We asked to speak to the manager they said she would be in the next day at 9am. We went the next day abs then we were told oh no she will be in tomorrow. We asked who is the step in manager for the day? They said no one!!! We are members of this hotel branch and never had such terrible experience. The next day our heater was making the noise of a big pick up truck motor. When we were on the phone with family they kept asking if we were driving because they could not make out what we were saying!! A terrible sleepless night!! Not impressed, I understand situations occur. But, the staff did not relay any of this to the manager and no one ever got back to us!! It’s sad that we spend our time and money and we did not enjoy it at all!!

Trip was horrible because we reserved a room and PAID for it in April. Your front desk sold our rooms so they could double up on profits. By doing this totally ruined a wedding weekend for my family and I. I had to buy a room (wedding party staying at hotel). Doubled up people to stay in this single room (I had booked 2 in April). Sewage in the sink smelled upon entry.

Great family sleep and go, personnel great except the young clerk, hard to find her always.
