Holiday Inn Express and Suites Fisherman's Wharf, an IHG Hotel

I rarely pay for a view room but I did in this case because I wanted my grandkids to be able to see the bay at night, without having to wander around an area that can be sketchy after dark. My daughter checked in and was given a room with no view, which should have been significantly cheaper than what I paid. When I realized what had happened I got a song & dance about an "upgrade" to a "mini-suite" -- a room that had a very narrow padded bench, not even a proper sofa, along one window. Not what I paid for. When I complained they knocked a bit off the bill, but not nearly as much as I paid extra for the view room, and besides that my grandkids didn't get the experience I wanted them to have. A dissappointing experience.

The hotel was perfect for our family. The room spacious and clean, the staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was included and good. Walkable restaurants, cafes, and enjoyable to walk along Fisherman's Wharf. Right near the cable cars too. Enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Great option for our family of six. The property is within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, the Hyde Line cable car and Ghirardelli Square. We really enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is perfect for families traveling to San Francisco. It's close to everything and if not walkable, it is easy to access cable cars and/or buses. Staff was friendly and accommodating, grounds were clean. Continental breakfast had a variety of options, although I'd steer clear of the bacon. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

IT was great, I went with my family of two children and mi husband and we had a good time, good food , nice beds, good space for al the bags. It was overall a good hotel.

The location is great and safe. The staff is friendly and helpful. The walls are very thin and other guests with children were quite loud, making it difficult to sleep. There was some glass/plastic on the room entry floor that had not been swept up, so that made me wonder about the overall cleanliness of the room.

The location is perfect and close to what we want to see. The hotel is in good shape and it was as we expected. 70$ was for overnight parking (including tax). The only issue we faced was with the valet parking the day we checked out at 12 p.m. (10.19.2023). He asked us to move the car from the driveway even though I explained to him that I was checking out. I explained that I had 3 month baby and my wife inside the car and he did not listen and respect that. I asked him what he exactly wanted and he eventually, said never mind! He was rude and he would say something to me and say the opposite to the hotel management. He kept arguing and screaming in front of everybody. More training and a more specific protocol for him is needed.
