Our family had booked 2 rooms and we were pleased with the value and accommodations. Only "gripes" are more lighting is needed in bathroom. And a hand-held shower would be a great addition.

Upon arrival I waited over an hour after check in time because our room was not ready. We had traveled over 6 hrs, we were tired and wanted to eat. I had my 2 children that I wanted to change and get them ready for dinner. We got tired of waiting so I had to change my kids in the lobby bathroom. The room that I rented was not available so I was given something smaller. I am very unhappy with the service, the way the hotel was unapologetic. The room was not clean. The hotel overall very mediocre.

Hotel Caza was a great place to stay during our visit to San Francisco. Our room was large and had plenty of space for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable. The only negative with the room was the vanity in the bathroom was quite small and it was hard to have more than 1 person getting ready at a time, but I don’t think that’s unexpected for a hotel in SF. The lobby area was quite large with many options for activities. The foosball table and video games were a little beat-up and are probably due for a replacement, but we still had fun. Overall the game room was a nice unexpected amenity. I would definitely stay at Hotel Caza again if traveling to SF.

The area is fantastic. The room was on the smaller side, did not have a fridge. The bathroom smelled pretty bad all 4 nights we stayed. There was a problem getting in and out of the parking garage every time, the key would not work. Halfway through our stay they relocated the water fountain. The bar closes from 3-4. Pros: free milk for the kids. Secure parking. Helpful workers, they just seemed understaffed.

The hotel itself was fine other than being on the first floor next to the dumpsters. Early in the morning, you could hear trash trucks, empty the dumpsters and homeless people going through the dumpsters which would cause us to wake up. Just be aware that the resort fee was $100 a night instead of the posted $30 a night luckily we had enough on our credit card to cover the cost. On a positive note, it’s one of the only hotels in the area with queen size beds, which is perfect for our family of four

We traveled as a family with kids and the hotel is very family friendly. The spacious lobby area has games and plenty of space to relax, have a drink and eat. The hotel is very well located if you want to walk and explore around North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf and other neighborhoods. It’s also close to two cable car lines and street cars. We appreciated that the location was near the water too. The service was excellent and room was spacious and clean.
