Hampton Inn San Diego/ Mission Valley

Overall our stay at the Hampton Inn was good! Our room was clean and comfortable. We did get placed in a handicap accessible room and I probably should have switched only due to the roll-in accessible shower…it allowed water from the shower to spray out and over the floor because the curtain didn’t come all the way to the floor. The water really couldn’t be contained. The only other issue we had was that the TV in the room was extremely dark with no way to adjust the screen brightness and no one available to help us fix the situation when we wanted to just watch some tv after a long day. We had to resort to watching Netflix on our iPad. Those were the two small problems we had during our stay. The included breakfast was great! A lot of hot entree options were available and the coffee was good as well. We didn’t utilize the pool and outdoor area but it looked inviting and other guests and kids were enjoying the space and having a great time. The staff were genuinely the nicest people we encountered. Everyone we spoke to were extremely friendly and professional and they go above and beyond to help. I would stay here again when in the area.

Our family vacation over the holiday weekend initially started out the worst with getting a room that smelled of cigarette smoke so bad when we opened the door we walked right back out. It took about 1.5 hours to work out a different room / accommodations to work for our family for the night and stressful the next morning. However, the staff also spent time the following days to help make right the situation. They were very supportive and the rest of our stay went well from the daily breakfast, to the hot tub/pool along with the proximity of the hotel to our activities in San Diego. We definitely feel that the staff were able to support us with the situation and work with us to make our stay the best after the worst check in occurred.

Great breakfast that even included some Gluten free items that was a plus for my family. Conveniently located near San Diego zoo and shopping areas. Overall would definitely stay again

Great experience. Showed up with fam for a family event in San Diego. We are from LA and we don’t like traffic. This place is centrally located for the places we needed to go.
