The property is great. The rooms are perfect. when you make a reservation be sure that you understand that it’s extra for parking and there is an extra $37 per day fee which gives you a $35 food credit. We were at the hotel with children and had no intentions of eating there. It was frustrating to know that we had to “use up“ our $35.

Waited for Valet for 25 minutes. Gave up. Left my car there to check in. Receptionist told me they share valet with other hotels. So already a bad start. Checked into my musty room only to find no crib. I had called and emailed to request a crib. Went down again to request. 5 hours later no crib. Went to request a crib for the 4th time, new receptionist was kind and it was then delivered. Woke up, went to breakfast downstairs only to be told by a rude waitress to sit down and wait. She laughed with her coworker like an uneducated child. She then proceeded to blow her nose at the bar and bring us menus with her dirty hands. I gagged and had to leave. Ended up leaving to have breakfast at ocean front locations. Don’t stay here. $900 for a mediocre room with 1 star service is not ok.

The Guild did not disappoint! Not only is the property beautifully restored, the ambiance is such a vibe. It is comfortable elegance! The staff is incredible and made us feel like we were regulars. I would highly recommend this space for families and it's super pet friendly! The room was lovely and smelled divine! It was a great space for my family and our pup and was so chic. This hotel felt like an extension of home, which isn't always easy to find. The area is extremely walkable and close to sought out places. This could easily be our "go-to" place when visiting San Diego! 10 out of 10 for sure!

Horrible costumer service….I booked a room with a courtyard view so my wife and I could have dinner while our baby was sleeping in the room. The whole idea was to be close for the baby monitor to work. When we arrive around 8PM, right when our baby goes to bed, we were told that we had a room all the way at the end which wouldn’t for us. The lady was really not pleasant and made us feel like it was on us. They didn’t have any solution to accommodate us. I even suggested a voucher to come at a later date and she didn’t understand that. We left and went to sleep at a friend’s house which was really inconvenient and ruined our whole family weekend…so we got charged full price and didn’t even stay there (why do we have to pay the cleaning if we are not using the room?!). So horrible service…

Super stylish and modern rooms, friendly staff in the bar/cafe. Rooms are tiny though. It didn’t bother me and my coworker because we each had a whole room to ourself but if you have kids you might want a larger space.

Upon arrival we were greeted and made my family very welcome. Even with some hiccups we allowed the manager to enter our room to grab something from the safe the previous person who stayed there left. Great experience from on forth. Next day we enjoyed a full day and drove to get my time piece serviced and enjoyed everything San Diego had to offer and came back late to the hotel and my Fiance and son were hungry. We called the front desk to ask if they offered room service and they said due to covid they no longer offer room service but we can order door dash and they will bring it to our room. Long story short we ordered and hours went by and we didnt receive anything while losing track of time tryin to put my son to sleep. I resolved by going to the front desk to see if our meal was delivered and it had been sitting there the whole time. Melted and Soggy! We check out and continue our vacation and rented an AirBnB. (Valet was amazing and deserved every generous tip)

Great location: 10min walking distance to ocean side and 10min walk to Gaslamp District. Safe area. Clean rooms. Nice bar and outside patio. Decent hotel for a couple or family trip.
