Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

The hotel is very accommodating and staff is friendly. There is a lot of activities to do on the daily and we love it, it is the second time we stay with our kids. The only down fall this stay was that we were at the bottom floor and the room above us was very active and it was hard to sleep in. The pillows are not very comfy and we needed a couple extra to make our bed a bit more comfortable. But regardless we love the amenities the hotel has to offer and the lake that it’s to die for with the view so we will continue to go.

Great location very clean and great service. Staff very helpful and friendly except we wanted to watch game on roof deck and hostess said we could not. Didn’t seem right since we were guests. Pool was nice but no sun only from 12-2 at the most. Not a great location for pool Too many kids in jacuzzi and not very hot. Rooms were very nice and loved how it was LEED certified. Keys didn’t work multiple times and food was just ok Sarah at check in was awesome!!!

I had the junior suite with a king size bed and window view of the city. The biggest negative was the shower that was low pressure and lukewarm water at best. No pressure, no hot water. The bar / kitchen was ok, no trash can or paper towels. And no glass cups, it was nothing but plastic. Really disappointed, not a great value to rent the suites.

Great for the family

Everything is extra. There are so many hidden fees and everything is a profit center for them from parking to valet to extra fees for nearly everything. The valet parking was terrible. Not only did they not plug in my car for a charge it took nearly an hour for them to bring my car up and they did not tell me they had brought it up. I asked for a late check out and they couldn't even give me 30 minutes. The hotel used to be a great deal but now its just designed to get every last buck out of you. The elevators card swipe is a complete joke it takes 10 swipes to get the elevator down. The kids running the desk seemed more interested in being on their phones than offering good service. Stayed there 4 times before but done with it now. Not coming back.

Stayed here for the first time and really enjoyed my stay with my family! Service was great! Pool and spa were awesome! Top roof bar was off the hook really nice! And gym omg top of the line really nice! Ate at their on site restauran and the food was great too! Only thing I would change is extend the pool hours and gym hours. But everything else was great! Would stay here again!
