Westgate Hotel

The hotel room was not cleaned properly; we found items from previous guests strewn about the room. Additionally, the hot water in the shower was not working. I asked several times for this to be fixed and promised several times that engineering would address the issue but at no time during our stay was the problem fixed nor a reasonable alternative proposed (i.e. a new room). I was told that me and my 3 children could use the showers in the gym in the building next to the hotel if we needed to shower.

This was our 4th stay at the westgate and it has been consistently nice. The rooms are quiet with comfortable bedding. I do wish room service stayed open a little later as our flight had been delayed and by the time we got there, the kitchen had closed 10 minutes ago. Breakfast is always good. Gabriel took care of us all three mornings and was an amazing personality to have at the hotel. He remembered things we had told him, gave suggestions, and clearly cared about us-after the three days, he felt like family!!! Thanks Gabriel-we will be back this summer for another weekend getaway and will come see you for sure! Thanks Westgate, until next time!!

I have known the Westgate Hotel for many years since it opened in the early 70s. It has always kept a high level of excellence, great service, and attentive staff. It continues to this day to be an icon of elegance. The rooms are extremely large with very comfortable beds. The service is always there in the background when needed and responses quick. Because of the holiday we were celebrating, we were upgraded to an executive suite of about 850 ft.² in size with two large beautifully decorated rooms and a large bathroom, with separate toilet, separate soaking tub, large walk-in shower, and two washbasins. This hotel is definitely for people who are not looking for trendy, but for classic beauty. The antiques are unbelievable, and the service is extremely sensitive and kind. There is a valet parking system under the hotel which is paid. I strongly recommend this hotel for couples whether they be middle-aged or elderly as a romantic getaway. I do not recommend it for families with young children. As a last comment, there is a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi with a fantastic spa just across the courtyard

It was amazing! So beautiful and elegant decor. The service was incredible, especially the valet service/bellmen! Front desk concierge upgraded our stay to a suite and our little ones had a ball! They felt like they were in the Beast’s castle from beauty and the beast. They LOVED the shower and the pool. Hubby and I really enjoyed the outdoor gym located next to the pool. We highly recommend this hotel :)

We enjoyed the hotel, very beautiful and antique on the inside, just so detailed. The hotel doors and entry made me think of Tower or Terror at Disney, so that was really cool. A nice vibe to the hotel. I didn't care for the extra parking that was insanely priced. On top of the hotel itself. So my trip cost me and extra $350 on top of it all, plus all the extra taxes. The homeless lined the streets and all-around the hotel. I would never ever take children to this hotel or even in this area. It was a nice trip I overall. But the extra fees, room service coming in as 630am twice. Was it worth it? Maybe.

Have mix feelings about this place. The room was spacious and well prepared. The property is amazing specially the gym/pool/spa amenity. Unfortunately the service was not consistent. Even though I called in advance the baby crib was not in the room which is ok but then it took over three hours to get it. The tissue box had only few in it, which again is ok if there was a back up. I had to ask three times and took over 12 hours to get a tissue box!! But staff we’re all friendly and super nice. So it was an interesting experience.

My wife and family were very happy we chose the Westgate. The facilities are very well maintained with a classic look. Carolina was very helpful with check-in and explained where the pool, walking track and exercise equipment were located. Restaurant food was excellent and staff very good. We plan on staying at this hotel again.
