Holiday Inn La Mirada, an IHG Hotel

My family always stays here loved it but unfortunately not a big fan of them charging for parking now $11 a night..

They put a whole party bus on my floor & they never went to sleep. Just 30 people running up and down the floors yelling and laughing all night and morning. I did not sleep and neither did my three children

Property was ok- they should extend dining hours - families have no good options after coming back from the amusement parks

Nice breakfast buffet. Family often stays here when having family reunion. I feel it’s a lot cleaner than before COVID. Parking was easy.

The local restaurants were great, it included onsite parking which was excellent for us. The gym had a water refill station which was useful. Was disappointed with the A/C it was incredibly loud, couldn’t use it overnight. The most disappointing thing was we booked a room for 2x adults and 2x children and everyday requested a 4th towel at the front desk and never received it from housekeeping (we had to grab one each day from the pool area ourselves) and on the 2nd last day only one bed was made. We felt ignored.

Service needs improvement from front desk staff to housekeeping. Front desk staff may mutter under their breath to greet you without making eye contact. They’re usually looking down at their computer monitor seeming too busy to look at you. Booked King Room with sofa bed for 8 nights. As per Expedia’s website “All rooms include breakfast for 2 included, parking included, and free Wifi”. We did not get what we booked! Instead we got 2 queen beds, and no breakfast. Upon check in staff confirmed our 8 nights stay. When asked about the breakfast we were told that it’s not included in our room, even though we told them it was part of the package we paid into. We were told “it’s not included”. Considering we had a long flight and it was late for our toddler we didn’t dispute this and just wanted to get in the room to rest. On day 3 Housekeeping didn’t change any of the bedsheets. After returning to our room we saw the baby crib wasn’t made up. Called front desk to inform them and requested for the bed to be done up. Someone entered the room while we were at the pool, and used the same dirty bedsheets for the baby crib. Fresh sheets were only given after leaving a note for housekeeping requesting this the following day. I didn’t think this service would only be upon request. We would not consider returning to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We went to spend my kids last day of summer break to go swimming all day and the pool was down up until it was time for them to go to bed. I’m very disappointed because I called ahead of time to check if it was open and I was told that it was . I would have gone to the Marriott if I would have know we were gonna waist there last day not being able to have fun swimming:(

Okay, this review is for my business folks. I have an office near there and it requires myself to be there one week out of the month. I have not stayed at the property during the weekend, however I do make it in Sunday evening and can say it has been nice and quiet. Hotel staff has always been pleasant to interact with. You will be asked if you would like room service or not during your stay. While some will have reasons for both, I actually enjoy not being bothered during my stay. Again, I'm here to sleep in a bed and wife and kids are not in tow, so the room isn't trashed by the kiddos. Room has everything you could ask for, and the beds are fantastic. Love the pillows! Food: They have a restaurant onsite and that is convenient. Your experience with the food, well its food, I'm not a food reviewer. lol. They offer breakfast for an additional price, and would add over 100 bucks to the stay, so that's a nope from me. I travel a lot and not even offered a piece of bread and coffee seems the only real complaint I have about the "Value" prospective. To sum up my stay, I have jumped around a lot to find a hotel that was safe, clean, comfortable and I am very happy to have found this place. This hotel has been my destination for 3 stays now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The staff was amazing! They made accommodations last minute for us after explaining my sons condition. The kids favorite part was the breakfast of course

Overall, the hotel stay was great and was perfect for our short stay with family. The hotel was easy to work with and accommodated our late arrival. It was great to have an on-site coffee/fast breakfast as well as a restaurant. The staff was friendly & professional.
