Sonesta Emeryville - San Francisco Bay Bridge

The staff was amazing! Went there to get out of the heat, but the pool was too cold for the kiddo.

Convenient to the freeway Easy grab and go breakfast option in lobby. Lovely staff working there. Indoor pool for the kids was perfect for our rain day stay.

Have stayed at this property many times over the past 15-20 years as I visit family in the area. It is aging and housekeeping was especially poor this time. But the location is good.

Wanted to get away with the kids and my sister. We love this destination because it’s close to San Francisco. We can go into the city for the day then be back to see the lights and bridge from our room.

Book this hotel for the first time to celebrate my daughter 9th birthday. A pool party in the winter is hard to do, and this Sonesta hotel was one of two hotels in the area that offered an indoor pool. This hotel was amazing, and slept comfortably 3 kids in each bed for a total of 6, then I slept on the chair. I’m sure I could have asked for a roll away bed, but I didn’t bother. The hotel is clean, and very appealing to the eye. Check-in isn’t until 4:00 so I love that they don’t close the pool area until 9:30PM. We had a party of 7, and basically had the entire pool / hot tub to ourselves for four hours straight. This was amazing because the kids were loud, and we song happy birthday and had cake by pool. Caution the pool is not heated, and extremely cold like your swimming in a lake; definitely will take your body a while to adjust to freezing water temperature (needs adjusting). The hot tub on the other hand is a great temperature and feels so relaxing. This will now be one of our go to hotels, and now planning a Mother’s Day stay for the future. Overall this hotel is 5/5 and the only con is that this hotel does not offer a continental breakfast, some rooms come with it and hotel will give you a voucher upon check-in, but it’s only for two people per room. Not many options and no hot food, breakfast is à la cart with yogurt bagels etc.. not buffet style with hot food like most continental breakfast. Not worth the cost for 7 of us, so I went to Trader Joe’s next door.

Booked the room for family visiting the area. The room smelled strongly of chemicals and caused a terrible headache, even with the open window. Otherwise the property was average and staff were pleasant. There are far better properties in the area, and I would not book this one again.

The hotel is clean and family friendly. They staff is always helpful.

The hotel was ok- the fact that they charge $20 each person for breakfast buffet ? Let alone a $250 deposit ? I did love the view from Our room, I prefer hotels with complementary breakfast for my kids and my family. Not overall one of my favs.

It's no Ritz Carlton but it's pleasant, clean, wonderful view, quiet, and close to restaurants. The indoor pool can be used year young. The kidslove it. The gym is clean with hand sanitizer, water, and updated equipment. Small but sufficient. Staff is helpful and friendly. Don't know what the bad reviews are about.

We had a family reunion at the hotel and it was perfect. The staff is friendly and we had plenty of room to sit and talk outside and inside. The rooms were very clean had no problems with any of our rooms.
