DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes

Unfortunately I will no longer be using this hotel, due to the high parking price they recently installed. I use this hotel regularly so my weekly parking is £24 so nearly hitting £100 month. All hotels I stay in add this cost into the price. The Hilton you have to pay separately. When I ask to pay up front it was like I was asking for a kidney. They wanted to pay when I leave ,as I explained that was making a mockery of there express checkout.

Quick check in and very happy with hotel location. Two roomed family room, great for family or friends sharing. Room clean however a new chair and headboards in the rooms would be an improvement as these were looking worn. Breakfast was fabulous, plenty of choice. We would definitely stay again.

The check in was quick and efficient. Cookies were nice! The room was quite the trek from the reception but the views of the stadium on the walk were lovely, certainly impressed my son. The room was very nice. Yes there were cosmetics that could do with fixing like a hole in the marble floor, headboards that were past their best and chairs that were too. I had read reviews giving very low ratings because of this but I'm very glad I went ahead and booked because this didn't make our stay bad. It was a lovely family room The beds were comfy, the bathroom was really nice and the fridge was really handy. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. We requested extra pillows which weren't provided but just didn't worry about that in the end. Breakfast was Ok but still not great for the coeliac child in my party. You can request gluten free items but they never materialise or you get "i don't know" as a reply to a question regarding gluten free. This is extremely frustrating and you would expect so much more. It doesn't show a child much care and help them feel confident.

We booked a 2 room option which was just perfect for us as a family. The hotel was spotless and extremely comfortable. Highly highly recommend.

Our stay with the family was great, it was to celebrate one of our family member 21st birthday. We all had a great weekend.

Hotel on first impression seemed good, nice gesture of warm cookies. Room was a little tired but bathroom seemed to have been refreshed as all tiles and paint looked new. King bed was 2 matresses put together which you could feel which wasn't very comfy if you moved. Towels were immaculate. Good sized room. Doors to the floor are released by room card, but only 1 side opened which was hard work with a disabled child. Had to press the release on the other side to get through, would be a struggle if you were alone. Disabled lift (wider one) didn't operate on either of the days we were there and 1 other stopped working. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice, and staff here were very friendly and helpful. Good overall but a lot of simple things could have been a lot, lot better for disabled guests.
