Novotel Milton Keynes

Convenient location, close to railway station and retail parks. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sauna. Good value electric vehicle charging. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Good selection at breakfast. BUT… Carpet in room VERY worn and full of stains. Furniture ok but dated. Pool used by baby & toddler swimming company much of the time, so restricted to one guest family at a time and you have to book a time at reception when busy.

Best thing was the pool.and sauna. Rooms need updating. Sofa beds hava a gap between the two mattresses where children can get hurt. The desk clerk was able to provide a mattress protector that we used to fill this gap so our children could sleep safely.

First impression at check in.. the staff were amazing.. there wre rooms available so we were allowed into the room an hour before. The room was slighly dated with a seperate toilet and bathroom. Rest of the bedroom was clean. The sofabed was little uncomfortable with some exposed metal, not really suitable for a small child. There was a pool which was the reason we picked this hotel and that was clean and excellent. Car parking was free with alot of free spaces.

The hotel was nice but the room we stayed in was noisy as it was right by the road and the car park, it was not ideal for young children. The sofa bed was ripped and not very comfortable.

Mot that close to anything but easy to get a taxi. Pool was very full and you needed to book space. No swimming lane. Lots of kids jumping in. Bed was comfy. I booked a disabled room which was only up about 8 steps but the lift was out of action. Basic TV Stations. Restaurant was ok but soulless, you need to eat before 9 for breakfast and before 9 for dinner. All round ok for a night or maybe 2?

Staff needs better training. As we were having a dinner in the bar area (with 2 kids age 5&8) a horrible drunk loud man entered the lobby looking for trouble. LOADS of shouting and swearing (F… C… loads of upsetting words). Kids were terrified and frankly the staff was too. It’s not their thought but they should be trained better for situations like that. I ended up getting in that muddy situation to say that if they won’t do anything I will call the police. Girls could not sleep the following night as they were worried the horrid man would find us. Great location, good value so massive shame about the situation.

Excellent place perfect for families. Spacious room. Food expensive.

We stayed in room 110 and the toilet was smelling of urine really really bad. We ignored the first day thinking when they clean it the next day it would be gone, but no it was still very bad. Told the hotel staff and they offered to move us but it was late as my kids already sleeping, guess should’ve mentioned it the first instant of using the toilet. Overall the stall was nice.

Our family room was comfortable. Great addition to have a gym and pool. The food was good and handy that the bar serves all afternoon. Great location, easy to walk and drive into central MK

Its about a mile from Xscape. Facilities good including the pool for my family. Really friendly service and good bar and nice bar. Much cheaper than the Holiday Inn where we stayed the night before andalso had free onsite parking unlike the Holiday Inn which costs me £24. Would definitely stay here again.
